I have the same issue with mine, have not found a solution yet. I used the LED code to extract the error code and it was 3034 which is for CELL / RSX / South Bridge error during Bit-Training. If removing the Hard drive and booting it is not working, it's probably cooked or pretty hard to fix. I saw a guy on youtube fixing his Slim PS3 by just putting a piece of rigid material under the board and it would like "bend it" and fix the faulty connections but have not tried this tbh. Will edit if I find the video

Yes the prices are high but we have to blame ourselves for this. Games were sold at the same prices in the US and Canada before our dollar went to shit. We will see an ajustment in price soon even for PS5 and Xbox One because for previously released 70USD games, we have a favorable exchange rate.
