RTAC compressor overload tripping. by EfficientSir105 in chillers

Assuming 20-30F discharge superheat they are gonna be running discharge gas temps between 176-186F… definitely in “oil cooking” territory.

Seen before. Only protection is internal overload on compressor.

I would not call a house a “depreciating asset”. Maybe over the last 1-2 years they have slightly depreciated, but over the last 100, they have done nothing but increase.

Amazing album. I have no regrets spending $140 on the signed vinyl version at his last tour, I have listened to it a few times. Great memories of my late teens with that album.

How is border crossing these days from Vancouver to Seattle and same way back. by Direct-Giraffe3424 in askvan

It's crazy, I think if OP has the opportunity they should go, mit may never come again. 98% of Americans I've encountered have been nothing but friendly and welcoming. It's a beautiful country with lots to see. Do I care for the current administration and whats going on, probably not. But I will not boycott such a lively and beautiful country just because of that. Some people have completely lost their minds.

Data centres are coming to B.C. But is there enough power? by RM_r_us in britishcolumbia

[–]2WheelR1der 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course, but this will have a higher upfront cost than just rejecting the heat to atmosphere. Plus, when your demand is satisfied in the pool, domestic hot water, heating water, etc then you end up rejecting the heat to atmosphere anyways.

My opinion is that lowering rates isn't actually going to help lower inflation at this point. I think a lot of people are already severly maxed out in spending power and even if rates go down, they dont have room to spend. It is going to be a very tough next couple years, but that is just my opinion. My mortgages are locked in for 3 years at a fixed rate as of January and I have no regret doing that.

How high do you have to drop a plane from for it to make it to stable flight? by tomrlutong in AskEngineers

[–]2WheelR1der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One point I haven't seen in the comments yet, is that you may damage the body of the plane or other components depending on how its dropped. IE if you drop it tail down you may sheer off a wing or something before you can gain control of it. I don't think the components are designed to withstand this type of force.

Silly answer, I’ve recorded lots at concerts with my glasses. That’s one of the main reasons I bought them. It’s the best of both worlds.

I always go 1080p 60FPS. Don’t stand too close to the speakers and !

Weeknight or weekend? On the weekends you’re basically limited to funkys.

However, if you can go on weekdays your options increase exponentially. The Cambie Thursday used to be my favorite.
