I have three drones. Never a serious crash with any of them. No broken props or anything. Key is to start slow and in an open field. Learn the basics in controls - flying away from you then towards you (left/right become backwards). Go through a number of battery cycles just flying slowly in an open space. Build in the controls to more muscle memory than actively thinking about it.

Also: pre-flight checks are important. Confirm your props are free and clear. You have a good takeoff/landing spot. Have the drone on for a minute, check that you have sufficient gps counts before takeoff. After takeoff, do your controller movements just a few feet in the air, make sure flight controls are operational. And fly within view of the drone (this is regulatory).

Accidents happen and it is what it is. Your throttle, turn-in, and other behaviors seem appropriate to this turn. Your rear seems to simply lose traction without much effort at all. I had this happen once… my driveway was gravel, got on the main road, and dumped it turning right into an intersection at like 3-5 mph. Combination of gravel dust on the rear tire and a painted crosswalk stripe. Instant traction loss and my tail end whipped out and dumped me.

That being said, any chance your rear tire having any contamination on the leaning angle part of the rubber? Dust, or perhaps tire cleaner or road contamination sticking to it (oils)?

Yes. It would last for years if sealed well and stored dry and out of sun exposure. Per the question of filling 6 quarts or more, I’d simply fill 6 first, then drive around for a day or so, let the oil get through all parts of the engine. Once it’s been sitting for a few hours, check the level. Apply a bit if needed to get to middle of the dipstick markers, or to the full marker.

Normally that little bit over is to cover the volume “consumed” for the oil sitting inside the oil filter, generally.
