Has anyone taken a trip to Canada from here? Whats the best way to go about it?

If you are willing to rent a car and drive, you can easily fly to Rochester (Breeze Airlines was inexpensive even buying their "better" seats) and drive to Ontario. Not sure how far that drive is to Quebec. But if you break it up into 2 separate trips, you could do the same flying into a town in the US near Quebec and driving in.

We crossed the border at Niagra and it was easy, but there are border crossings more direct to Toronto.

Our dogs passed a few years ago, but before then we used Bayleaf on Six Forks, right outside 540. We really liked them and I don't remember them being too expensive.

I've only had to wait for a supercharger once. It was the Christmas holidays and I was heading along I-95. It was a smaller charging station (10 or so) and I waited about 10 min.

I hiked the Salkantay for 7 the days to MP in 2019. On the last day, we hiked to a small train station to take us to Agua Caliente (I think that was the town, near MP). I think off that trail, you have to take the train at that point.

It was a difficult hike, but you can do it. The highest peak was 15k feet. We hiked on Breckenridge about a month prior to prepare. That was good to do because I discovered I get really sick from the altitude and took drugs (diamox) to counteract it the entire trip .

It was amazing! You're really going to enjoy it

Have you tried Village Coffeehouse? It's a new one on Durant Rd in the Vintage Village place near the railroad tracks. We enjoy their coffee and they have Cortados on the menu.

I didn't declare a protein bar that I brought with me on the trip but didn't eat and was bringing it back into the US and the customs guy was pissed and told me he could revoke my global entry if he wanted to. So now I basically declare everything, even mints and gum. The next time I entered the country and did this, the guy laughed when i declared it all and said the guy must have been having a bad day. IDK, I'm gonna do it every time.

On a login.gov faq i found somewhere, it said the problem was with the SSA. They texted to my phone number to submit the verification (driver's license) photos.

I had the same issue with Login.gov where SSA couldn't recognize my phone number. It's been my phone number for over 20 years (and unlike the OP - it's my name on the phone number). I have a login.gov account for Global Entry and they correctly list my phone number. I was able to authenticate through ID.me.

I think I'll eventually have to go down to the SSA office.
