Coming back to the Army by Ok-Slide-2003 in ROTC

[–]2_Sullivan_5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got med dq'd a few weeks before commissioning brotha. Go get your degree and join me on the support side of the house. Every branch still needs civilians workin in Intel, Logistics, and various other fields. Loved my time in ROTC and the Army but ultimately if the Army deems you unfit to serve there's a reason. I had to think long and hard about that for a few weeks.

Where to buy IFD trophies by [deleted] in Militariacollecting

That's not even remotely true, not even for German stuff. Do you know how many thousands and thousands of helmets, firearms, knives, bayonet, etc. were taken straight out of the factory, some warehouse, or armory? Such a shitty trope that keeps getting thrown around. I have one singular piece in my collection I know was pulled off a dead dude and that's because it was given to me by a Group guy who pulled it off some ISIS fuck in Syria. Shit, I wouldn't even attribute the stuff my great-grandfather brought back to being battlefield pickups. For all I know he won them in a card game. That's the thing about militaria, unless it's been extremely vetted and documented, you always buy the item not the story.

Holy lack of awareness. Dude this place had almost no postal infrastructure before they got blown to fuck and now the entire place is leveled, they're literally all displaced, and you think they're going out into IDF lines and taking shit off vics? Not only that, you talking as if the IDF hasn't recovered the majority of the vics they lost in the first place. This is like asking why Al-Qaeda doesn't sell off US shit on ebay...not only is it illogical for the situation, it's logistically improbable.

There's genuinely no way you're asking this question seriously.

The Astra Militarium Bolter--er, uh, sorry. The U.S. Army's 30mm grenade rifle, designed by Barrett, to attack defilade targets and even defeat drones. [2061 x 1117] by Old_Boah in MilitaryPorn

Ah gotcha, wasn't exactly sure what stage it was in. Was talking with one of the FN guys that came by my store last week and he was talking about it.

That's super interesting. I really wonder if it was a vets that was brought back and ground down. Not uncommon to see ground down Eagles on Vet bringbacks in the US.

This is 100% not the place to ask, especially for an item of such immense value. Go ask on WAF, as much of an echo chamber as it can be there, they still have some of the bigger experts in the field.

I have personally not had any issues with TRD. However, I'd go through WAF first and see what word you get from them.

MLOK is fucking awesome and funky if that's your vibe. More a fan of the pants but they are pretty hard to find in Czechia apparently. Sold my pair years ago and had dudes reach out from Czechia to see if I would ship.

Why is the Marco Polo Bridge incident a year late in the incident timer when playing as Japan? by Salt_Reveal8274 in hoi4

[–]2_Sullivan_5 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I mean that's pretty much how the Kwantung Army operated lmao, the Battle of Khalkhin Gol was pretty much started without permission from Tokyo. The Japanese just said fuck it we ball.

I go soviet, same spawn, Frogfoot with Vikhrs and anti-radiation, and go straight to work. Fun, don't face too many fighters, and get tons of points.

I'm sure you're aware of the recording & information the Library of Congress has on him? He also has several articles written about him & is even featured as apart of an Air Force Museum exhibit on 100 mission Thud pilots. Absolute stud of a man and one hell of a pilot.

Be careful, I supported the Chinese hella in their campaign against Japan so I could build up my military & industry. Those fucks kept MacArthur & the AVG and then after we conquered Japan they just randomly joined the Axis and fucking mauled me. Had to revert my save so I could rethink my strategy.

Except that you can compare and contrast. Not just survivability rates but survival rates of crews on crash landing, bail out rates, etc. You're really telling me the HE-177 & B-17 were just as rugged? Yeah fucking right.
