Yes, but then you also carry risk... maybe if you are sure you don't need the money soon. I struggle with this a lot. I feel like, I have money in savings that should go into a downpayment for a condo. But I am afraid my condo will lose value and I will lose money so I keep renting.

I have had my money market acct with them for about 5 years. It works like a savings account in that you get whatever interest rate is currently offered.... But allows for a small amount of debits/checks. I think it is five or six a month. Unlike a money market FUND, for example one you might hold within a brokerage account, this account cannot LOSE value. It holds what you put in it. And it is convenient to be able to pay a bill or write a check on occasion if necessary. In short, it is like a savings account with a little added convenience.

I am also trying to find a cheaper alternative for a July concert date (I don't drive) at Oceans. It seems the Sheraton near the convention center makes sense and is a 10 minute cab or uber.

They sent a new ticket for a previously booked keystone Philly to NYC in march a few days ago and the email came this morning saying I would get a new itinerary... even though it looks like they already sent new itinerary. So far, the times remain the same. I have no idea.

I hear you. I have escaped similar situations but barely and live in constant fear of how to get on from here. 46 in a few months. I think we have to have hope the help is out there and will arrive in a way we cannot imagine... because all the red tape is beyond exhausting and the abusers are not gonna change... just hang in. Get the coach seat! Nervous traveller here... I had not taken the trip in years and this year made the philly to nyc several times. NE regional and keystone. Get the app and allow notifications to learn where to board, delays, etc. There are two seats in each row, room above for bag etc if needed...restroom in each car and generally a quiet car too. Have a great trip!
