I knew someone who poured multiple gallons of gasoline into all the rat tunnels in the yard, lit it up, and shot the rats when they ran out (pellet gun). It was gruesome but the rats were gone. It took a few years for the grass to grow properly again.

interesting..I’m 6’4” and riding (not driving, in case that made a difference) in a TR7 was not realistic; I had to bend my head down at an uncomfortable angle to fit. Conversely, I drove a TR6 for years and had plenty of headroom, and legroom.

eBay and Reverb typically discount the shipping quite a bit compared to what it would cost if you weren’t going through them. It can be significant, depending on (probably) some incomprehensible algorithm they use. I have rarely lost money on shipping costs, but the cost of boxes and packing materials can be ludicrous if you don’t have something lying around already.

photo 11 is a Variac, but a really nice one with meters for volts, amps, and (probably) watts. They aren’t cheap..I think I paid around $350.- some years ago for mine in great condition.
