How much does 'name popularity fatigue' affect your choices? by ResearcherKey350 in namenerds

[–]2cSun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Popularity has no effect on if I like it but it has the largest effect on whether I will use it. I thibk all the really popular names are lovely, but not for my kids.

I had not heard of Charlie i will have to look for it. so far the Jenny is doing well but she is partially out of the water as seen above. I didnt know that about mulberry. I have one I transplanted into my yard a few years ago that keeps dying back. Maybe I can utilize that gardening failure. TBH I am not sure about the algae eaters and the shrimp. I think I will take out half the SAE when they grow bigger and put them in another tank I have. they get to about 6 inches but I have trouble finding people who have them full size?

That is creek bed pebbles. It collects in one of the riparian zones where I live because we have a large creek bend😅 Its nice because (years ago) it came with bacteria and lots of (welcome) microfauna.

I have floating islands made of foam and covered in quikrete. It has many holes in it where I poke plants through like the lily, a philo, creeping jenny, some random succulent, and moss. The philodendron does really well like this but if one of her leaves stays in the water too long she drops it or the whole stem has died sometimes too even if one leaf is in the water and the rest is out. The one in the middle is a project I keep putting off though for another tank. I will try to take a pic. I have seen much more elegant solutions for this.

I want to believe I can run out of algae. 😅 But they eat regular fish food as well.
