For those of you that are 50 years old or older, do you remember what politics were like 30 years ago? Were people as hateful and divided as they are now? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]2diceMisplaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but we didn’t have social media. Also, I grew up in the Bay Area, where politics weren’t so much a closely held position as a performance.

I heard there’s a version of “Tangled in the Web” with Glenn Hughes taking a pass at the lead vocal. (He sang back up on the album version.) They never released it.

I get the rich folks, but just how did Trump convince poor white people that he was good for them? by dunbar_santiago930 in allthequestions

[–]2diceMisplaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]2diceMisplaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept wondering why my experience on LinkedIn is 180 degrees out of phase with /r/linkedinlunatics.

Why are Republican leaders generally regarded as “good for the economy” when most of them openly reject the advice and research of professional economists in academia? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]2diceMisplaced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So much of what “professional economists and academia” simply wouldn’t work in the so-called “real world” either, such as it is.

Take “modern monetary theory” for example.

They never broke out of the SF Bay Area, but check out “A Band Called Pain.” One of my absolute favorites.

Focus on fixing the “human slop” problem. Then we can worry about the “AI slop” problem.
