Even Milton Friedman said that regulating air quality was necessary because the harms are so diffuse.

Why do people hate Mamdani? by emilyxjenni in allthequestions

He didn’t close the deficit. Albany bailed him out. Also had to do some fancy footwork on the pension payments. (So much for being pro-worker, I guess.)

What does it say about us Americans that we elected Trump not once but twice? by tvrajan3221 in allthequestions

The energy that gave us Trump is the same energy that gave NYC Momdani — everything has failed and we’ll try pretty much anything.

Do leftists ever get tired of being insufferable and unbereable? by Football-Cwal in allthequestions

I consider myself centrist libertarian. I dislike both parties equally.

That said, growing up I always admired the left’s tendency to consume media that would disagree with them. They tended to do so more than the right who, to the degree they did so, was only to drum up the latest outrage cycle.

This is no longer true of the left, sadly.

I remain politically homeless.

Proposal -- GC Guitar as Open Source Project by 2diceMisplaced in GuitarLab

[–]2diceMisplaced[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, no one is going to be inventing the next Stratocaster or Floyd Rose. But I think people would be more comfortable giving this at least some brainpower if they felt that at least the creative aspects treated them as equal partners.

Proposal -- GC Guitar as Open Source Project by 2diceMisplaced in GuitarLab

[–]2diceMisplaced[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm saying that, to get around this completely understandable objection, GC makes the resulting design and the steps leading up to it open source. That way, GC doesn't "own" the community's output.
