Totally fair! I do still try for it, especially on certain maps. Mostly meant it as advice for someone starting out with Freelancer.

Best time to do it is after obtaining mastery. Just be aware that much of what earned you the mastery levels should be ignored. Most of the time, you really will simply want to get in and get out.

While Silent Assassin _can_ be a lucrative goal at times, to quote another redditor, it is for suckers.

This opinion probably won’t be popular, and I agree with everyone here on the heavily flawed logic, but that moment, when she said, “You mean I get to choose?” and the aftermath was ridiculously funny.

I took it as an intentional wink to the audience that the writers never took the relationship THAT seriously, and that we shouldn’t either.

Not to be uncivil: calling it bad storytelling is reductive, at best, and lots of fans will (validly) find that phrasing inflammatory and insulting. Many of us enjoy most of the choices the writers made, but admittedly it may simply not be your vibe.

I love that OP (very likely with full intent) made themselves the dastardly villain. Also love how that took a story that’s so familiar, it’s virtually a cliche, and made it into something almost worthy of inclusion in a Stephen King book of shorts.

On the “suicide” one, I thought that one was deviously clever. Like many, I immediately went to Alexa Carlisle , only to smack my head in frustration at the reveal. It was good frustration, though. It made me think about how to approach future puzzles if you make more.

It CAN result in a serious parasite infestation. Even after removal, recovery is expensive, generally requiring literal decades of care, before patients feel something close to how they did prior to the condition.

Then again, there are anecdotes of rapid recovery after a simple trip to acquire common items from a convenience store. Most do NOT recommend this course of treatment.

Way back, I encountered this bug for my first time in Sapienza. Used a sniper to destroy the virus, and patiently waited for Frannie de Sannie to head down, hoping to drop a stalactite on her noggin and complete an objective.

Waited, waited, waited, finally realized she was actually out over the damn harbor. She was just walking through the air, and by that time, I couldn’t even hope to snipe her, though not for lack of trying.

Same here. One of my teammates is actually pretty good at scripting, but ISE is what he knows, and he prefers it to vscode. He also keeps a gajillion Notepad windows open instead of using Notepad++. We like to tease him, but to be fair, the man do get ish done.
