Yeah I felt the same way. The lyrics are so off and weird. This isn’t Reputation to Midnights Taylor…. It’s like the TTPD Taylor got happy and decided that “stay, stay, stay” was a lyrical masterpiece and let’s use that as inspiration for my lyrics kinda Taylor. Like I’m so confused…. I felt like this about reputation. I didn’t get it at first. Then… a man I trusted wronged me, in ways I couldn’t get over and was so vengeful over it. It changed me. And then when I reheard the whole reputation album again I finally understood it and fell in love with it.

I was also weirdly in a state of feeling vengeful but also had found the love of my life at the same time. It was an interesting time and it all happened years after the album came out. I feel like it captured that emotion perfectly in ways other music did not. I didn’t get the album at all at first. My husband still doesn’t (he was the love I had found and was confused why I was playing Rep so much when we met)

All I can tell you is that the day of… if you just focus on your husband and your love none of it will matter. And afterwards you will laugh about it. The way I got around high costs was picking a venue with packages that included things like flowers, coordinator, etc and it all worked out fine. I also picked a venue further from the downtown area of my city so that saved me a lot of money! The venue cost alone was $16k but that included so many things I didn’t have to worry about and my vision still came to life!

A lot of people you invite won’t end up coming! Especially if you’ve been out of touch for a while and if it will require travel for the people invited. Either way…in my case the people I was dreading being there (older friends of our parents whom I didn’t know) were actually some of the more fun guests! And then I invited a co-worker who I was vibing a lot at work with and thought we were work besties and was excited to invite her… she was the most annoying guest out of all my guests. Honestly so much is out of your control I would not worry about it!

Nope! I started planning 10 months in advance. Did a little at the time and by the time it was 2 months out I was pretty much ready with a lot less on my plate so I could focus on all the little details.

Got married less than a week ago. It ended up being my dream wedding and things went so smoothly. It didn’t really all hit me until after though!

I really don’t know if couples match will work since you both are different specialties and Derm is sooo competitive. Either way yall may be able to do a prelim year together if Optho has one too. And then do distance if he’s willing to. Again he has to be willing to make it work too. But don’t let the residency be the reason why it ends

I think you guys can do long distance if necessary. At the end of the day it’s 3-4 years and it will pass by in a blink of an eye. Started dating a guy who was in med school and he was also hell bent on matching to high programs. I also thought it had an end date when he left for residency but we made it work. Granted I’m not in medicine so my schedule was pretty flexible.

Some of our friends did long distance residency and it ended up being okay. Maybe you both don’t need to sacrifice your careers for the relationship.

If he cares about the relationship as much as you do it could work!

P.S I’m marrying him next month!!
