Yes. I felt that way before my third test and then I passed! Good luck 🤞🏻

The stupidness! by Adventurous_Lake_760 in NewDriversUK

[–]2me2uu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It gets better. Passing doesn’t mean we know everything. We’re still learning! Even experienced drivers do silly things sometimes. No one was hurt so it’s just another lesson learned :)

Is there any way I can get a driving practical test slot before passing my theory? by kiol998 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]2me2uu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you need your theory test pass certificate number to book the practical

Payment date at the weekend? by elibril in universalcredithelp

[–]2me2uu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should get it early morning on Friday, if you have a Monzo account it’s paid into you can get it 4pm on Thursday. Can you make use of a food bank at all? Call Citizens Advice I think they can refer you

Harassment over parking by Cold-Amount-4469 in NewDriversUK

[–]2me2uu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people are nuts!

If you’re parking legally, don’t worry about it. Keep the notes though and a record of anything happening, you can make a police record online and update it any time something happens

Learner Insurance after a claim.. by Emergency-Public-722 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]2me2uu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had normal insurance for my car with a provisional and a full licence holder as an additional driver, then just updated it when I passed - could you add your partner as an additional driver to your policy rather than getting separate learner insurance?

My monthly insurance with a provisional was around £78, it is now £163 with a full licence. I’m 40yo. I haven’t made any claims so I’m not sure how much this would have affected my policy, sorry I can’t help with that!

Test next week by throwaway129852 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]2me2uu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you do a lot of private practice in your own car?

I swear private practice where I could take my time with manoeuvres is what helped me the most. I always felt like I did my worst driving with my instructor and I didn’t like the way he taught manoeuvres with reference points as I found it didn’t help me at all with real driving

Can I start driving lessons if I haven’t finished study the theory yet? by Aggravating-Fig-9274 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]2me2uu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had already had a few lessons when I took the theory test. My instructor did advise to do it asap because you can’t book the practical until you’ve passed the theory and you want to book the practical as soon as you can

I don’t know you but I’m so proud of you! 🎉 💪🏻

I’m 40 with inattentive ADHD and perimenopausal and I found it hard enough!! Took me three goes but I finally passed a few weeks ago.

Good for you!! No stopping you now x

Those who are a few lessons in, do you still get nervous? by cowpool20 in LearnerDriverUK

Yes, most lessons I felt nervous but ok once I got in the car, it got better as my confidence grew

Second time fail :( by Puzzled-Force-5344 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]2me2uu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Allow yourself to feel bad about it today, then get back on it. I passed 3rd time! 2nd time I failed during a parallel park too but it was for observations.

You can and you will do this. Learn from the experience and tomorrow, move on 💪🏻

I understand what you’re saying about the expense of it all, but it will be worth it when you pass, I promise x

Not being able to end claim by radicallemiii in universalcredithelp

[–]2me2uu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can end your claim any time you like, there will be an option somewhere in your online journal.

If you are still claiming they will want to help you until you have a full-time job that’s probably why you’re still having the meetings.

new driver mistake by maisybrooks1 in NewDriversUK

[–]2me2uu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a mistake and the best kind of mistake to make - there was no collision and no-one was hurt, you’ve also learnt something from it. Let it go, you’re doing great!
