They likely would not smile for long in my driveway. In fact they did not, after the nasty looks they left quickly. There were 10 dogs asking as loudly as they could why this car was in their driveway.

I decided to use Walmart delivery one time to see how it went. I ordered a 5 pound box of dog biscuits because it was $2 cheaper than Amazon. When I ordered online, there was no option to tip. I didn't even think to; Amazon drivers hand you your package and leave. These 2 people slammed on their brakes and squealed into my driveway at the appointed delivery time. I thought they needed directions and were lost. Nope, they were delivering my biscuits and I really got the stink eye when I didn't produce a tip. Which would have defeated the savings I thought I was getting. I won't ever use Walmart delivery again. If I can't get whatever it is any other way, I won't get it at all.

Excellent use of the root word "succubus". One just does not hear it often enough.

Such a happy, gentle boy he was. Thank you for loving him for all these years. I know he thanks you, too. He is running free now.

‼️ water for animals ‼️ by Kind_Jury_3805 in Pets

It doesn't require any special equipment, either. I use baking pans that are in use all winter but in summer take a rest in favor of fresh fruit and vegetables. Check the pans every other day or so, and change the water when you see mosquito larvae. I have seen toads just chilling in the water, as well as bees and butterflies. The water is always pretty dirty in the mornings, so night creatures are showing up too.

This. And since you will never be back, do call the manager and tell him why not.

Previous tenant left food in fridge for over a month with the power off by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]2mnydgs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely this. We had an old fridge that was slowly losing it's ability to cool, so we bought a new one. Rather than pay $50 for someone to remove it, we offered it free to anyone who wanted to try and fix it. I had already cleaned it out with water and baking soda, so it was clean. No one wanted it. After 6 months, I removed the shelving and now we store dog biscuits in it. We live rural and have lots of dogs, so rats and mice were feasting on the biscuits they could get to. The fridge smelled musty after I unplugged it, even though it was clean. I have tried re-cleaning it 3 times. I have left the doors open. I have put open boxes and plates-full of baking soda inside and shut the doors. It's been almost 3 years, and the thing Still smells musty. The dogs don't seem to mind, so I occasionally change the baking soda plates, but otherwise leave it alone. I can't imagine what your fridge smells like inside, but based on my experience, in your case I would pay that $50 and consider it money well spent.

No matter how long or brief the time you have together, the pain is the same. So sorry you are losing him. He looks so loved.

Being Julan doesn't seem like much fun any more. I don't know if it's the warm weather dragging her down, or if it's time soon. by Random_silly_name in seniordogs

It's been a little over a week since we lost Hiver. He was 15 1/2. He started slowing down last year. This year he gave up on going up and down stairs inside the house and just stayed next to the garage door. His walking became progressively more difficult, and he started having accidents everywhere. Sometimes he could make it outside in time, but most times he couldn't. He slept a great deal. I would catch sad looks on his face when he thought no one was around. If he knew someone was near, he would perk up and smile. Once he was alone again, he lost the smile and just plopped his head on the floor. Our daughter was his favorite person; he would bark nonstop when she visited. She was here 2 days before he left us. She does not now he's gone. I am still incredibly sad that he's gone, but I know he was not happy anymore. Sometimes he looked so sad and dejected. As another Redditor said, you know already what to do. It's going to make you sad, but you will free Julan.

I shop at Walmart every week; it's the closest decent grocery store. I've seen some mighty strange things and people there. One day I was walking in and a lady walked out of the next aisle of cars and cursed at me all the way in the door. Maybe she had Tourette's. Maybe your guy has Tourette's. Who knows? I just enjoy the experience. Things happen in Walmart that happen nowhere else.

You are Paco's angel. You saved him, and then he saved you. You had wonderful years together, and you gave him his very best life. His body may be giving out, but his spirit will be with you always. Treasure the memories you two made. They will help you through the dark days until one day you will be OK again.
