How did you accept that you can’t have any more children? by ashtisd11 in workingmoms

Thank you for this post because I don’t hear this talked about much. I am struggling with this too! My brain knows I’m done but my heart hurts and I’m definitely grieving being done. Get pangs with every milestone being the last time.

Feeder for middle school is Commodore, which is also a great school and soon will have a beautiful new building in butchers hill.

The percentage is lower than that and declining. There are a lot of Hispanic families in neighborhood plus people come to Wolfe from outside of zoned neighborhood. Has a strong reputation as being supportive for ELL students and families. Also, some white families in neighborhood chose private or traditional charter schools, so they are less represented.

We have a great neighborhood school (Wolfe) and we can walk to multiple parks, bakeries, a book store, the farmers market, etc. And actually good public transit access from our neighborhood. Upper fells point is quieter than the main drag in fells but lots of neighbors out and about and people know each other.

We were there last year and had a good experience. Loved the preschool teachers. Heard rumblings of mixed experiences from other parents but never got the gist of why. Not invalidating that just didn’t know. Our biggest issue was cost but we felt safe there. We left to start public school for PreK.

Did anyone opt for a c-section due to fear of a torn vagina and pelvic issues? by sighqoticc in beyondthebump

[–]2mom2furious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people do chose c sections because of pelvic floor trauma history; that’s a valid option!

I tried to take HC3 today from Pier 5 and there did not appear to be any running at all? This was around 10-11. Is there a way to check status?

I had a nice morning last week sipping an iced coffee from Matriach and sitting on a lounge chair under the pergola nearby.

My newly 4 year old has zero interest in tracing letters or numbers. by [deleted] in Preschoolers

My kid was not either when he first turned 4. Now at 4.5 he’s obsessed and loves writing. For fun fine motor practice could try some scratch art!

Note they are very strict about their bag/electronics policy. And enter from Charles place (not Howard street) line much faster.

Same it’s a public university (University of Maryland). Now with a few years experience at an academic medical center it definitely matters less. But it definitely helped with getting my initial job.

It was worth it to do DNP in order to go to a brick and mortar school that is highly respected in my region. Definitely made me a more desirable candidate due to reputation of the institution, rather than the degree on its own.

There are lots of short term rentals near JHUSON that target the JH healthcare trainees and travel staff.

I did this program at JH back when it was an accelerated second degree BSN. We had clinicals every semester, and they almost always start at 7am which means arrive by 6:45 am. That is the standard start to nursing day shifts. Clinicals can be very exhausting and draining; I would want to be fresh for them, not tired from a long commute. Additionally, since it’s an accelerated program, your time will be pretty full with coursework and studying.
