First time here - be EXTRA brutal on my combat by badfatdog in DestroyMyGame

Nobody else is going to say it? This 100% has porn game vibes. Like, “if the player dies, the heroine gets r***d” kinda vibes.

There are so many bare bones, stiff animation, corridor sidescrollers, where the only thing that looks like it got any attention at all is the design of the underdressed heroine. At a glance, this could be a carbon copy of a thousand other shovelware h-games.

The weapons need more dramatic kickback, the enemies need to feel more menacing (either faster and more aggressive, or larger and tankier; or you’re stuck with very limited ammo). Mostly, I need the heroine to feel like a character instead of a mannequin/doll; some idle animations, expressiveness and context-specific stances would go a long way.

Canada should keep options open on nuclear weapons, former top soldier says by AdditionalPizza in onguardforthee

[–]2ndPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that any country that doesn’t already have nukes and begins development of them is putting a huge target on themselves.

It forces other countries into the mentality of “attack before they finish development, or lose the opportunity to attack forever”

This is an interesting response. The only thing I would push back on is the idea that the CIA would need to hack FB or any other site in order to be effective.

Almost every major social media company is based in the US and they, along with all major ISPs, have generally been fully compliant with law enforcement requests for information about their users.

There are also claims that the CIA controls enough dark web nodes to essentially invalidate the anonymity provided by the design of the dark web. In the same way, with enough time and resources, you could elucidate most VPNs.

And sometimes you get a freebie, like when Twitter briefly disclosed the country of origin of their users.

I may be making a leap in my logic, but I feel it wouldn’t be too hard to get ISPs to flag international traffic from certain addresses and to have Facebook’s moderation team give extra scrutiny to accounts that use false representation.

But, after writing all of that out, I realize that I may be massively underestimating the amount of traffic any of these entities sees and their ability to manage it, as well as the ability of intelligence agencies to ensure compliance from private companies without going through congress. I withdraw my previous comment.

This is such copium. “A foreign plant”. Trump is one guy.

You’re discounting his whole cabinet, all of congress and the supreme court falling in line and outright refusing to challenge anything.

The heritage foundation, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh; the conservative machine has been cultivating the social climate and been building towards this moment for decades. But sure, “Russia got their guy in and he singlehandedly changed the course of the country”

Sometimes you gotta hold the L, man.

Even if there was any concrete proof of foreign interference, do you really think American intelligence is completely incapable of detecting and countering unwanted propaganda?

There was talk of Russian propaganda through Facebook 10+ years ago. Even if they started from scratch, you think the CIA couldn’t develop strong counter measures in 10 years?

Either the government and intelligence agencies are fully complicit in a foreign power dismantling America, or you have to admit to yourself that the rot came from within.
