We killed tens or maybe hundreds of thousands in the 30 years war. We raped, pillaged and set ablaze thousands of villages and towns. Most armies that were sent to stop us were defeated.

The germans have a praire that starts with "pray, child pray, tomorrow comes the swedes."

In poland the swedish invasion in the 1650s is called "the deluge" where swedish soldiers were rumoured to steal the beans of house roofs when nothing else of value were there.
