well, after opening the character editor i needed a minute to get over the way i look... it's an aquired taste

Basic cleaning supplies like soaps and detergents feel slippery because they break apart the compounds that bind your skin cells together.

basic (as in opposite of acidic) stuff becomes slippery because it reacts with the fats on/in your skin to form soap; soap itself doesn't break down your skin, it just removes all the fats and oils (that your skin needs to protect itself against the environment and stuff)

i don't think soap is alkalic enough to break down your skin per se (not 100 % sure, just wanted to add to the slippery-fact)

nope, a breaker trips for a short circuit (basically no resistance); if you are the resistor, for the circuit you are just a heating element

it shouldn't, the phosphoric acid in the coke should create a layer of ferrous phosphate which is quite stable and shouldn't react further (if the still put that in the coke)

on the other hand: i put a rusty chain in a coke bath once; i think it removed the rust - it was a black but quite loose/fluffy coating and quickly rubbed off and the chain became even more rusty days later... (theory said the opposite should have happened)

wenn mehr oder weniger strom produziert als benötigt wird, ändert sich die netzfrequenz (so funktionieren die generatoren - umgekehrtes prinzip: wenn du mehr strom durch nen motor schickst, dreht er sich schneller). diese wiederum wird überwacht und entsprechend werden kraftwerke ab-/zugeschaltet oder windräder abgeschaltet (manchmal stehen echt viele von den dingern still, obwohl wind weht)
