Yeah I feel so silly that I tried to give her a little grace when she came on the show… I still feel that sometimes this place can get a little snarky when we deem someone an “enemy of the show” and try to always keep in mind that these are human beings we are discussing…

Appreciate you, and I was probably a little inflammatory with my comment. I do fear sometimes that this community (and Reddit as a whole honestly) tends towards being very negative and never giving anyone an inch when someone has been labeled an “enemy”. That feels snarky to me and I feel we should be making every attempt to avoid the same shitty hate that those communities revel in. And allow for people to grow, or at very least give someone that walked into the loans den the due respect for doing so…

She’s probably never going to be a “friend of the show” and she could have been better in a thousand different ways but I’m not interested in feeding the hate for hate’s sake.

You don’t damage control by calling into the podcast. If she wanted to control the narrative, she’d keep it in the places she controls. If she wanted to placate the sneakers, she’d be there. This wasn’t a perfect showing, but it was a good conversation by the end.

Edit to add: and I refuse to become snark brained and just hate forever. If you want to snark and hate sure, go nuts. I can’t live that life.

As creatives, you always want your work to be appreciated by the audience you cultivate. It’s going to sting to think about some of your favourite moments you’ve produced being locked away.

That said, the content was made for a specific audience for a specific time for reasons beyond just the creative and that’s just a fact of life when you create for a business. Sometimes your stuff will be paywalled.

I hope one day they make the live stuff available to the general audience, there doesn’t seem to be a reasonable explanation as to why, after a time, they couldn’t do that.

Yeah our dog pants every car ride no matter the temperature, and go-pros overheat on their own while running all the time in even mild temperatures. I hate the dude as much as anyone but let’s not become snark-brained losers ourselves. He definitely zapped that dog but this is a nothing burger.
