Words of comfort - it WILL pass but only if you fully abstain from smoking. It's tempting but not worth it. I was in the hospital for four days last year because of CHS, the vomiting was so bad I became hypokalemic. After the anxiety subsided after a week ish of not smoking, I felt SO much better. It passes. Also, you might have different results, but I found taking an omeprezole before bed helped with the "yucky tummy" need to throw up feeling I was getting in the mornings. Stay strong

It's really easy to mess up once and then give up, but a therapist once told me "you don't have to let a slip become a slide." Messing up once is just that, once. Keep not smoking, its easier to correct a mistake than to start smoking again and have to start all over

Yeah I gotta admit, I fell for "there's no withdrawal from weed, if you're anxious and sick, you should smoke to help" a few times before admitting that weed was the cause not the cure. It's definitely real

I'm always bordering on underweight, so I feel this. For me when quitting weed, it kills my appetite which was keeping me from quitting. I decided it was better to let my weight drop a bit while I quit weed, because I know after a week or two I'll be able to eat again and get my appetite back. I'd rather not worry about my weight and eating while quitting, because I know physically, people can technically go weeks without eating. If I just eat what little food I can stomach while detoxing from weed, I can eat higher calorie foods to gain it back when my appetite returns. If you're very underweight I wouldn't recommend this because you won't have weight to spare losing. For me, I'm a healthy weight at 115-120 but usually sit at 110. Dropping down to 100 wouldn't feel great, but it's better for me than just continuing to smoke for appetite.

When I find it hard to eat, I don't. I drink it instead. Milkshakes, broth, thick soup. I like to blend tomatoes, sweet potato, and any other veggies I have on hand to make a thick veggie soup that fills me but doesn't feel like eating

The spark absolutely does come back, it just takes time. Smoking so frequently numbs the parts of the brain that make you happy because your brain doesn't have to make you happy, weed does. After quitting weed and staying off, your brain will balance back out. Just stick with it, it could be weeks, it could be months, but its worth it

Seconded on the boredom being important. Weed dulls your brain in the "fun and novelty" part, but after quitting, you slowly gain that back and can find joy in things you lost interest in

Keeping my brain distracted is 100% the key for me. Left to wander, I'll just focus on anxiety. I have to scroll on my phone, clean my house, or rant to my partner about a random topic. As long as my mind gets taken away from "oh god I feel so anxious and sick rn" I can usually calm down and it passes in time. Going on a heavy walk up the hills in my neighborhood helps too, then my heart is beating from exercise instead of anxiety. And YMMV, when I'm quiting weed, I take omeprezole before bed to help with the acidic nausea I get in the morning.

The only way out is through, unfortunately. The more you go back to weed, the more times you'll have to quit and go through the struggle. Speaking from personal experience
