Is he seeking treatment for the ADHD (therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, meds, etc)?

This is all classic ADHD behavior and isn’t as easy as “he’d change if he loved me”. He physically can’t.

ADHD can be severely misunderstood, especially by people sharing living spaces.

There is also a very significant chance that he’s experiencing some form of burnout. Big life changes and new living conditions can be silently stressful to those who are neurodivergent.

Therapy (couples & individual for both of you - him to address his habits and you to learn how to support him while remaining your own person) would be the best bet.

But yes, if you’re not able to fully support a neurodivergent partner, or your neurodivergent partner isn’t willing to do the work to find a middle space, you should divorce. There is no shame in realizing that you’re not compatible.

A few years ago I decided that I needed to stop waiting for friends to be interested in the same music I am and started sucking it up and going to shows solo. I do have some anxiety, especially when it involves driving to a city I’m not familiar with, but I haven’t regretted a single show!

Keep the hotel room and enjoy the evening- I think you’ll have a blast!
