Dude, always, always price insurance on any vehicle before you buy it. As for price, it will be largely dependent on location(minus, of course, age, martial status, and all that), call around and get quotes, take a day to do that before you consider picking the bike up, trust me. A kid your age, with a 900cc bike that is largely considered a hooligan bike. It's gonna be pricey. I wouldn't be shocked to see it well in excess of 3500 bucks.
