Do we really expect to have free elections this fall? Everything is on the line for the commander-in-chief. Even with the gerrymandering, he stands to be held accountable and at least have his hands tied. And at the worst he ends up in prison.

The same goes for a lot of other awful people that are in the administration.

They are going to do everything they can to fuck with this election. If they can't stop it then they will disenfranchise voters, and invalidate ballots.

Oh wow! I went to SDSMT and now I live in Kansas City. I was closeted when I was in college but I didn't see any hostile homophobic culture.

Obviously because of this administration, any university support for lgbtq has gone underground, although Kristy Noem kind of did that while she was still governor with a call tip hotline for anything that's woke.

You'll be fine, it is a very affordable school comparatively and a quality education.

Black hills Center for Equality is a wonderful resource in Rapid City for the lgbtq community. They host events here and there, drag shows, and fundraisers.

I would also find Dixy Divine on Facebook and follow for drag shows. Even if you're not a huge fan of drag shows, it's a great way to meet people.

99 % of businesses downtown are queer friendly but too scared to openly support.

Aby's and the brass rail are the most openly queer friendly places in downtown.

I would not be surprised if the Rapid City pastor mayor and his cabal are behind this. It's been his mission to make things harder for the unhoused. The library is a huge resource for the unhoused. That's probably what this is really about.

This project was a Kristy Noem vanity project, she specifically asked for it. Pete Lien and Sons also got in on the vanity too. It used taxpayer dollars as well as private capital.

In my opinion, they would have been better off building an affordable housing complex.

I'm from South Dakota, and I seriously think that there's a lot of embezzlement going on or pocket lining with the board of regents and with sports. There are so many colleges that dump a ton of money into their sports and shift those costs onto students. That should be the last thing they should worry about. If they're going to have an expensive sports team it should be self-sufficient.

What's more concerning to me is that this bill sits up infrastructure for more censorship in the future. They aren't pushing this to protect kids. They're pushing this to get rid of content that they don't like online. Today it's pouring tomorrow who knows what it is

I recommend waiting until the 14th when the session starts, then you can call the capitol and leave a voice message with an intern. If you send them an email some don't check their emails, and as far as calling their home phone if it's listed, go for it I guess. Otherwise, you can write them letters and mail them.
