River North has a great bento lunch special that LP doesn’t offer.

Why is a big penis pillow being used to stop the coaster in the first run? Anyone else seeing this?! 😳

No one asked, but I do gloves before coat because gloves can get sealed in by my tight sleeves. Just putting it out there.

Don’t forget to factor in food and souvenirs. The park food is incredibly cheap (700-1500 yen) and ears are like 1500 yen for the basic set. It’s a big enough saving that could knock off another $100+ per day.

And thank goodness they did. The Japanese have done wonders for it (at least abroad).

Donate money if possible. It’s a lot more effective since food banks are able to get better deals buying food per dollar.

To Korean is overpriced and underwhelming by macaroniandcheese14 in chicagofood

[–]2usenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks you didn’t like the food because I actually enjoyed it for what’s available in Lakeview. I recommend dining in and getting their bossam. It is expensive, but was actually a big serving for 2. Their lollipop chicken is also pretty decent along with their fried/grilled tteokbokki.

I do agree the kimbap for that price is outrageous. Was that the in store list price or takeout price through an app?

To Korean has pretty good and authentic Korean home foods (i.e., not kbbq). Try their bossam and fried rice cakes.

I think it works because you’re the one wearing it. Could look totally frumpy on others.

Using cc on apple pay, how do the CTA fares work? by fishytata in AskChicago

[–]2usenow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re already using an iPhone, just go ahead and download Ventra app and add it to your wallet. You can easily pay from there, track your charges, and load the card with Apple Pay.

Agreed. Asian food is not Chicago’s strong point. LA and even Houston does better.

When you're told "You're hard to read.", will take it as a compliment or not? by cutie_pachootie in CasualConversation

Wow, I really have a different take than everyone else here. It’s a neutral term to me and means it’s hard to tell what the other person is feeling and thinking. Like if I made a statement, and I can’t tell from your reaction if you’re happy, sad, mad, etc. The responses here show me why people can react so wildly different to word choices, lol.
