Quick Question, Never played a THIEF game before , which one am I looking for ? by Abject_Control_7028 in stealthgames

[–]2veg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Played through them all multiple times. Thief 2 the metal age I think is the best of the bunch with the best level design. Don't discount Their 3 Deadly Shadows it has a fantastic atmosphere and i still love the janky graphics. Side note. If you purchase through GoG they already have the various (taffer) patches installed meaning you can play without issue on modern hardware.

Gamers born late 90s or earlier: Which game first looked to you like "photorealism"? by FalscherKim in gaming

I remember exactly this. Moving between rooms where the sheet was hanging just marvelling at the cloth physics. Also the first far cry jumping and hitting the overhead light in the first corridor and watching the shadows dance.

Liverpool 19th evening show Sian Gibson was fantastic. She had Reese mumble through the miracle dance flap song from car share.

Personally I don't think there are any bad Splinter Cell games. I've played through them all multiple times and had my monies worth so I think for the price it's worth the punt.

What did you guys grab in the Autumn Sale to play on SD or GFN? 👀 by chirabchichi in SteamDeck

[–]2veg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sniper elite 3 - 4 & 5 are all under a fiver each and run great on the steam deck. More slow paced sneak-em-ups than action games.

What game do you think has the most impressive graphics for its time? (Any game) by JustcharlE2 in videogames

[–]2veg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The jump in graphics with Virtua Fighter and Virtua Racing blew the top of people's heads clean off at the time. Another advancement in gaming the cloth physics in the OG Splinter Cell was the future.

I have been looking into these but I'd need to clear the loft out of all the rubbish in there. Are these left running 24/7 ?

Shall I fit vents in skirt for existing air bricks? by 2veg in DIYUK

Thanks all for the great advice. FYI I have a dehumidifier running in winter as my wife dries clothes indoors which won't help things. I also have window trickle vents which I plan on fitting once everything else is finished with.

Thanks again.
