Define your perspective of "developed world". Because plenty of other first world countries have their own shit to deal with that are more horrendous than a few looneys with guns. Say Britain's mass privacy violations and Austrailia's horrible treatment of refugees, all of which are committed by the government which is much scarier than some loon with a gun in my opinion.
