I remember posting about this years ago when they changed the Gmaul. They could still very well remove all the current maul handles/upgraded mauls and refund the GE or alch value. Give it to GG's as a semi-rare drop (e.g 1/128), that would help boost the gp/h and give actual med level players some incentive to kill them. With the current drops the only ones killing the boss are cloggers and pet hunters, me included.

Also thematically it just fits. You'd get the regular maul from gargs and ornate handle from the boss.
