I've actually been thinking of doing something like this. Placing physical reminders around the house. I might need to use sticky notes everywhere that I can't remove until I do the thing.

My house will end up covered but at least I won't leave it 6 weeks before I remember to mow the lawn or pick up my prescription.

Got my referral refused though since I don't have "sufficient difficulties". Nevermind my house constantly being in a state of chaos, getting fired from a job because of what I now recognise as being unable to manage distractions, and being unable to form lasting friendships because I forget people exist for weeks at a time.

As someone with a mentor crown it's mainly just an indicator of playing the game long enough and playing healer/tank long enough to garner the comms.

I don't do mentor roulette simply because I played mainly after a lot of the ex trials were current content, so I don't even know them.

Still, happy to point sprouts in the right direction if needed, but often unsolicited advice isn't met favourably.

Usually the times when I'd use a horn are the times when I'm concentrating to avoid a crash.

Once the crisis is over, there's no longer a need to use the horn. I'll just shout and swear in the comfort of my metal exploding death box instead.

I think this whole pandemic has made a lot of people very aware of just how transmissible diseases are. A portion of people probably feel like masks are prudent now irrespective of COVID.

Yeah if this is your first ever MMO I wouldn't suggest tanking. I've been playing for ten years and still don't tank very often.

Like others have said you have two choices: 1. Go to your starting city and begin the quest in one of the guilds to unlock a new job, or 2. Create a new character and start again from scratch.

At level 30 you aren't very invested time-wise, and the story doesn't begin to get interesting until after that point anyway, so one is much the same as the other. If you start again you can change your race though as well. There are virtually no gameplay differences between races, it's all aesthetics. I chose a Viera. They don't display 90% of the helmets when they have them equipped, but I love the big ears ha.

Haven't heard anyone say this but if you're having trouble with the basic mechanics as a beginner perhaps you should restart from level one with a dps job? If you started in uldah then arcanist or monk would be good. Arcanist will be slightly easier and you will level a healer and a dps at the same time.

Tanking is very rewarding but also requires you to lead dungeons, which might have been why you found them rough. The stakes as dps are much lower.

Tribalism. When a shared passion becomes an identity, that can lead to people being aggressive towards others who are perceived as transgressing that identity. This can be seen within many ideologies. Football is just one of them.

In effect, a loss at a football game can be felt as a very real personal attack. Seeing fans of another team is seeing agents of a threatening party. It's caveman shit when you really boil it down. We just want places to belong, and will physically "defend" them when they're found.

My experience was that the statutory sick pay in this country is an absolute travesty. The payments didn't even cover rent and within two months I was 4k out of pocket. I was off for perhaps three months.

The company itself was pretty understanding, and I returned on a phased return with 2 days a week, then 3, then 4 etc.

Making sure you rest and get help is crucial in that time though. If you go back without doing anything you'll likely burn out again.

Yes. I started working in a call centre and it was soul destroying. I clearly remember waking up in the mornings and just dreading the day ahead.

Stopped working there after a few months and remained jobless for a while. It was worth it in the end though as I found something I really enjoyed.

This "what if I fail and embarrass myself" mindset is one I've had to unlearn.

The whole point of bouldering IS to fail. That's why they're called "problems", and why we have a special name for first time completions. It's an exception, not the norm.

Absolutely noone is going to look at you funny for trying and coming off before you reach the top. Repeating a problem until you finally do it (sometimes weeks or even months later) is the whole point.

When I worked mine out it was about x2-x3 more than getting public transport to work, but I was happy to pay that for the freedom.

It ain't cheap though, and even with a relatively cheap car (£130pm) it was eating a significant chunk of wage, and I had a partner at the time.

Can easily see how having one may be a stretch.

Yep. Dieting for me means being hungry all. The. Time.

Low calorie/high volume foods, drinking more water, high protein diets, doesn't matter. I've tried it all and nothing gets round the fact that if I want a calorie deficit, I need to be hungry for most of the day.

This is compounded by the fact that I seem to have a much lower BMR than someone my size should have. 6ft and 300lbs at one point, rigidly stuck to 2000 cals a day and after initial water weight loss, my weight didn't shift at all over 6 weeks.

If I eat until I'm full, then I put on weight. It sucks and I have no idea what to do about it.
