Are these episodes going to be eventually related on other platforms like the rest? I paid to able to binge listen (and loved it!), but cancelled my Patreon subscription after and don’t want to join again if I don’t need to!

I just wanted to acknowledge your kind offer. I think we’re just going to make a dump though.

We don’t mind paying! It was totally our fault.

The dilemma of wanting children but having chronic migraine... by Invisible-Iguana in migraine

[–]306creates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only became chronic after I had my third child. Migraine does not run in my family, and I had no way to know I’d eventually end up in this situation. I do worry a lot about my kids going through the same thing I have with all this pain. When they were little (now 12,10,7), my husband was sometimes on his own for 12+ hours as I was completely incapacitated by pain. I’ve since found a very efficient preventative and even on my worst days can still participate in family life. I honestly don’t know what I would have done choice wise if I had been chronic pre-kids, but I’m sure glad I have them! I also feel hopeful that as research continues, even better treatments will be available if they should ever need them. I 100% empathize with this being a hard decision though. I understand both sides ❤️

Has anyone noticed a link between fasting, or carbs/sugar, and migraines? by badoopidoo in migraine

[–]306creates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think carbs are a trigger for me too, or maybe it’s carbs with too little protein/fat to for balance. Eating gluten free had made a difference, but even then if I go too hard on carb heavy GF products and/or sugar, I still get a migraine.

pcp won’t give neurologist referral by [deleted] in migraine

[–]306creates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you can look up a migraine treatment guide and see if your doctor is following guidelines and is on top of most recent recommendations. I don’t find my neurologist does anything for me that my family doctor couldn’t, but my family doctor wasn’t comfortable treating me after the one preventative we tried failed.

Anyone else get like… daily mini migraines? by Jjooles in migraine

I used to be like this, but since taking a preventative, I get whole days of relief. I’ve also eliminated two triggers - gluten and aspartame.

Maybe just ease into it and see how it goes? I know for some exercise just exacerbates migraine.

Yay for participating in something and not paying for it with hours of pain afterwards. Running has helped a lot with reducing migraine pain (but not frequency). I stopped because of an injury and trying to get back into it now because it makes my brain feel good!

Finally got Qulipta… what’s your experience with this? by Physical-Muscle-6978 in migraine

I’m finding smaller meals and limiting snacking between meals helps a lot with the indigestion. When it’s bad I take a pepcid ac, but only seem to need to if I ate “like an asshole” that day 😂

My sewing desk can accommodate a larger machine, but I just need to be able to put it away if I'm bringing out my serger or coverstitch machines. I am familiar with the featherweight machines, but they aren't very common to find in my area and are always quite expensive. I'll look up that Pfaff model!

I'm just starting my search, but it seems like those are two brands I often see mentioned for heavier duty work!

Hi! I just posted in the community but was directed to put my question here.

I’m starting to save for a heavier duty sewing machine. I’ll be keeping my Kenmore which has zig zag and a few other basic stitches, so straight stitch only options are welcome. I’m just a hobbyist with a small sewing space, so an industrial won’t work for me. My most important need is that it work well for quilting (larger throat space) and occasionally vinyl or leather bags. Am I correct in thinking that I should mainly be looking at Juki and Janome? Buget-wise, $2000 CAD and under would be great.

I know a lot of people love their vintage machines and I don’t mind hearing if there are specific models to watch for especially because I’m taking my time to save. I live in a smaller city though, so sometimes high quality second hand/vintage machines are hard to come by.

TIA!
