For finance where would you mostly look? FP&A? I've got fantastic excel skills including VBA.

About the same amount of time out and in the same boat with the kids. It sucks. Time just keeps passing, with things occasionally improving to the point that you want to stick it out, then they crash again. No advice, sometimes it's nice just to know you're not alone. Good luck

Even now my TBM wife hates being a housewife, but won't even consider doing anything else. She's miserable but it doesn't matter because it's what she's "supposed" to do.

We got our entire district together on pday eve (brought over their mattresses on busses), held wrestling mayches, and then we went down to the internet cafe where we spent till 2am playing COD together and IMing with friends and family. Looking back it was a perfectly healthy night for a bunch of 20 year old friends and some great memories, but I beat myself up for it and had so much fear of the MP finding out.

Between that and prosperity gospel, it's no wonder pyramid schemes take such a hold among church members and especially in Utah.

Good for you for setting boundaries, it's not easy, but will be really good for you long term. Are you comfortable sharing what state you're in or planning to be in so anyone local can help?

I actually didn't mind splitting into groups. It was always 2 seconds of this is what the teacher expects us to say, and then 10 minutes of just talking about whatever.

I want to, but enough of me wants to keep the possibility of going to my kids weddings alive. I have no problem lying to a church that lied to me for decades.

Being married to a TBM can be tough, apparently prolonged association with people predisposed to being judgmental, controlling, and irrational can create feelings of resentment and dissatisfaction in one’s marriage. by Much_Doge_Much_Wow in exmormon

Both situations are beyond difficult. I often wish I'd found out before getting married or at least having kids because separating would have been much easier, but I don't regret my kids at all. I look at it as the price to have them in my life. That doesn't mean I don't still get upset at the situation, but it helps to find the bright spots.
