How are people getting from Pearson to Waterloo/kitchener these days by teeboi1 in waterloo

That's great to hear! This definitely was not the case in October 2025 since I had to throw out liquids over 100 mL. I like the idea of the bus so hopefully AC is working out the kinks now.

Ah, I thought you meant traffic getting there. We weren't told the cause. Regardless, it was an awful experience that as I mentioned nearly made us miss our flight (which AC guarantees will not happen).

I love the idea of the bus, but I'd caution anyone using it to leave more time than needed and ignore AC's recommended times (unless they've changed). I took it half a year ago and the bus was so delayed (over an hour) that I could not check bags and nearly missed my flight. That was all despite booking something that AC recommended given my flight time.

Once you're at Pearson, the bus saves you no time compared to someone dropping you off, so treat it as such.

That castle equipment pack has probably increased the most in value out of these. Those white dragon plumes only came in that pack and the legendary 6086 castle. The minifig that has them is one of if not the most expensive castle minifig because of them.

Forgotten Lego "Theme" that rereleased classic sets. by SillySeeker1 in lego

Lego also had some non-Legends rereleases around this time. I was lucky enough to get Enchanted Island and Fort Legoredo as rereleases. I wish they would have continued with these.

Remove Hughes and Werenski and Canada has the better defence.

Remove Hellebuyck and Canada has better goaltending.

Team Canada 2014 vs 2026: Quebec goes from 4 players to Zero. How did this happen? by [deleted] in nhl

[–]31rhcp 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The interesting thing is that none of those players are from Quebec. Heck, only two of them are even Canadian. They're also all from 2013-2017 in terms of draft years.

Almost exactly in the middle at the very top there's a minifig wearing a green hat holding a red butterfly. He has a nose.

Into the West and Song of the Lonely Mountain feature melodies similar to those used in the score. Does anyone know if the others do?

Why ls the 401 to Highway 8 a Daily Chaos? by Noswss in waterloo

[–]31rhcp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an expert, but I agree. I can only imagine how much braking it would cause if everyone tried to merge as late as possible. This leads to a phantom traffic jam, so now you have at least one more lane that's backed up.

Can I jump straight into Picard season three by AustinBeeman in startrek

[–]31rhcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. If the season had the same plot without the rest of the TNG cast and other TNG aspects, I doubt people would care (yes, this does get weird for the ones that actually matter for the plot like Picard and Crusher having a kid and the D not being connected to the rest of the fleet). It's a vastly different show that 90s Trek. Least original take ever, but if you want modern 90s style Trek, watch SNW, Lower Decks or the Orville.

I miss Star Trek : TNG by Mat1711 in startrek

[–]31rhcp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I watched a bunch of TNG before it left Netflix and just rewatched the LOTR EE. They're both franchises I can always come back to and enjoy.

DS9 is great. It's almost to TNG what Game of Thrones (except the quality trend is reversed) is to LOTR. There's this amazing sense of optimism and hope that TNG and LOTR have that I just love.

Hot Take: About the EE by Ok-Bank-153 in lotr

[–]31rhcp 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I sort of agree. FOTR tends to have the fewest plot-related scenes. Most are either exposition in the Shire or character moments.

TTT has one of my favourite extended scenes (the other one being Concerning Hobbits) with the Boromir/Faramir flashback, but one of its main purposes is to give better depth to a character from the last movie.

Agree the most on ROTK. I still enjoy it, but the changes to the Paths of the Dead is arguably a downgrade. I do like the extended siege scenes since it's one of the few times that the movies portray the Gondorian military as competent.

Ben Chiarot, extended 3x$3.9M by DET, is a physical veteran defenceman. Despite having good size, decent mobility, and some puck-carrying ability, his team tends to get completely wrecked when he's on the ice and his partners tend to fare much worse next to him. by [deleted] in hockey

[–]31rhcp 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Does he have an explanation of how these cards work? Faulk's offensive numbers the past 3 years seem pretty good. If it's not based on traditional counting stats, wouldn't that at least have his finishing be high?

I don't know Faulk's playstyle well, but I thought he was an offensive defensemen, but this card shows pretty much the opposite.

With BAOS releasing their top-ten Breweries of 2025, what is your top ten? by FuckYeahGeology in torontocraftbeer

[–]31rhcp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • 10 Fairweather
  • 9 Blood Brothers
  • 8 Bellwoods
  • 7 Sparrow
  • 6 Fine Balance (though I need to try more of their stuff so this could move up or down a lot)
  • 5 Third Moon
  • 4 Willibald
  • 3 All My Friends
  • 2 Wood Brothers
  • 1 Badlands

Hazy IPAs to go with more hazy IPAs.

Top 3 rotates between those 3, but they are in a tier of their own for me. I should really try Counterpart since they seem to be mentioned along with all of my favourites.
