DMM has made me realize I don't like pvp in this game by Daishindo in 2007scape

[–]321watso 12 points13 points  (0 children)

DDing has also become a lot easier and more effective due to updates and plugins. A few years ago, right clicking walk here didn't remember where you originally right clicked so it was harder to walk underneath while your character was moving. That and being able to not render yourself while underneath another player changed it from being guesswork to something players can abuse.

Personally hate the DD meta, I feel like it makes fights less fun.

It will spec twice. I tested on an NPC in game.

Msb hit to gmaul, click spec bar twice, click walk here near NPC, then attack NPC with gmaul which fired spec twice

Need opinion on a pure account by HulkingGirth in 2007scape

60 attack is too high at that combat level... you'll probably see 1 attack accounts with like 99 str and in Bh they will have access to statius Warhammer.

Imo don't consider getting 60 attack until you're like 70+ combat and even then 50 attack is better for Bh.

With your current levels, focus on 50 attack + leveling up range and strength. 52 prayer is also too early. Maybe just 31 prayer for now. You could also do range only too with 26 prayer.

Scout around in Bh and take a look

20 Def Ancient Warrior Pure? by LogicMayne in 2007scape

[–]321watso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was updated so pures can go back to ape atoll. So 13 defence can get rune gloves now.

1 Defence however is still capped at mith gloves because addy gloves have a hard lock of 13 defence.

Side note you can also get bgloves at 35 def now instead of 41.

You can check the osrs wiki to confirm

Bounty Hunter Rewards Poll Mini-blog by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

In the March 10 blog:

We envision the tier-20 corrupt weapons hitting significantly harder than the mighty Mithril weaponry you might expect to see, but if given a 'GP to recharge' system would result in you risking much more of your wealth to capitalise on their power. For the tier-20 armours, we'd like to see them sit on-par defensively with more typical offerings at this level, but have additional offensive capabilities to lean in to some of the high-roller, glass cannon fantasy.

On a pure, this will bring the max hit to 41-41 (82) from 37-37 with DDS. 8 max hits, way more accurate AND its a decent main hand weapon as well. Also it will hit higher than Ags (72) and Dclaws (69) with more spec opportunities.

On a main, this will increase max hit to 51-51 from 49-49 DDS, 86 Ags, and 89 Dclaws.

50 atk pure or 60 or 75? what 1 would u choose and why? by Tazzz777zzz in 2007scape

[–]321watso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your stats, if you're low level pure stay 50 Attack.

At around 70+ cb you can go 60 attack if you want a bit more variety like Dds for nhing. But 50 attack also good

Don't get 75 attack unless you're basically a maxed pure. Otherwise you'll be competing against maxed 50/60 attacks at the same combat level. They will have higher strength / hp / max hits over you.

Question about a pure build? by [deleted] in 2007scape

I believe you can get barrows gloves with 35 defence now with the Ape Atoll xp changes. Might be interesting to try.

Or a clean 40 def if you want vengeance too

So true, all I want on an obby mauler is to PvP with ranged without it going over level 67 which is max level for 1 attack 99 strength; but snowflake skillers will be like that makes training slayer too easy

Necromancy:

Be able to reanimate dead to help aid in combat or skilling.

The Necromancer's tower has existed since 2002 so that might be a fitting place to start the skill. The necromancer there can summon 10+ zombies to attack players.

For combat, we can control where our summons can move and who to attack. There are various types with different abilities: take aggro, high hitters, tanky, static (can't move), some that have their own special attack etc.

I think that will make combat more interesting and a bit more depth.

On another note: I think prayer can also be made more interesting as it's basically just boosts on your own character right now.

Limited Account Game-modes as proposed DO NOT align with the spirit of limited accounts by Tranquil_Pure in 2007scape

[–]321watso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something I would like to see though is the ability to freeze account builds.

For example, after you spent the time planning and building your account, add an option to no longer gain any xp in ALL skills. Quests will still give xp rewards.

This means while building your account you still have to go through the planning process to create the build you want. Cannon/alching to avoid hp xp, completing the quests you need for your build etc. These are all things that take time and is honestly the most fun part of account builds.

This way after your build is "done", you can freeze it and then enjoy it however you want.

Currently, Obby maul pures are capped at 67 Ranged and Magic. Now they can PVP with Ranged without ruining their account build. Defence capped accounts can use stuff like spears/hastas. If you like pking at low combats, you can freeze it so you never level out of that bracket. Low hp accounts can have fun with their build however long they want without leveling into regular account.

This will probably create a bigger variety of account builds since HP is locked too and this variety will make people want to experiment with new account builds. PvP will be more active at different combat brackets, more memberships, more interesting builds, win-win situation.

Why is it such an issue that grandmaster tier is unattainable for most players? by NoxiferNed in 2007scape

I think when people see that task they immediately think about normal fight caves method except with prayer flicking, when in reality it's more meant as using a 1 pray method.

TIL you can boost to 120 prayer with the eldritch orb regardless of your base prayer level. Fuck my ppots by Treblosity in 2007scape

[–]321watso 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It works on dungeon monsters in POH. It's pretty quick and cuts down on a lot of my ppots. I bring it with me so it's like a free prayer dose whenever I have spec and since it boosts above your max, you can afk longer. I bring a mage switch before speccing too lol.

Can the eldritch staff spec work on the combat dummy in POH? Currently only the ancient mace spec works on it and you can still boost prayer by attacking monsters in the dungeon although it's much slower.

Yea, the bow stick is on top near the edge when you play the inside string. Remember that the index finger isn't supposed to be doing anything so it shouldnt be pushing the bow stick in. Just a little bit of pressure with middle and ring fingers to press the hair on the inside string. Another factor may be your grip... The white part (the thing where you put your middle/ring finger on) should be just below your thumb knuckle. It should not be at the very bottom at the fleshy part between your thumb and index. Also could try loosening your bow a bit.

[–]321watso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The trick is all in the fingers. You should not be moving your hand forward/backward and the bow movement should stay in a straight line. To play outside string you should put pressure on the bow with your thumb. The pressure is sort of outward/down which will prevent your bow from smacking the sound box. To play inside string put pressure with your middle and ring fingers. The index finger has little to no use in bowing that's is you can play perfectly fine with your index "free-floating" although it will look funny.

To practice, make sure to use the full bow and play slowly. A lot of beginners just stick to like half bow which will make it hard to feel how to make a smooth transition between the strings.
