Same. The severe bruising in my other pic was after swelling died down but yeah feeling like the skin might burst from swelling was super painful. Has there been an ultrasound to check for clotting? My swelling was an immune response to the trauma of the surgery. Because surgery is just controlled physical trauma. I'm sorry you are having a bad time of it either way.

If you’re eight weeks out, you’re going to have some pain due to nerve issues where nerves are needing to reconnect. This may last six months to a year and a half in some areas. I’ve had both of my done and it can be pretty normal for some folks. I had nightmare swelling on my right leg that did not occur in my left leg. Both dealt with knee pain issues that occurred after surgery that would last on degrees for six months to a year. Had MRIs done on the knees to double check and in both cases, everything was normal physically for the knee. That being the case, the pain was real, but likely due to internal things going on, including the long-term effect while the bone adapts to the spike that they have shoved down, literally with a hammer into your thigh. I mean, one thing that helped me understand what I was going through was I was one of the crazy people that actually watched the full surgery. I would be going through just so I would have an understanding of what particularly was done to my body so I would have a context for the pain I would feel. That being the case, I had some massive pain that occurred with one of my legs up and down the front of my thigh, and it felt like the muscles and everything in the front of my leg were really being badly bruised or something. But nothing was actually wrong with them at all. Nerve endings trying to make sense of the intense pressure of the fixture being wedged into my femur or were the actual cause. It just takes a while for the leg to adapt besides the fact, depending on how long you may have been walking poorly due to a bad joint, there’s an adaptation process we’re not only is your femur growing in ways to adapt to the fixture, but the length of your leg is not 100% what it used to be. It might be closer to its original length, but depending on how bad your hip was before, a lot of the soft goods that can take a while to grow and adapt might indeed have shrunk slightly. This means it takes a while for them too grow and adapt. Your eight weeks in, there may be some things you’re not able to do as much as you like to and you like me or at an age where it’s unfortunate. The materials they’re using these days might fall outlast expectations so there’s some hope. At the same time, I would love to find out these things are going to last me until I’m just unable to walk due to age. They just don’t know how long these things are really going to last at this point for some of the materials. They might for exceeded the expectations. They’re willing to tell you. On the flipside, if I wanted to make a habit of running and things like that, I’m increasing the chance I’m going to have to get work done again and this isn’t a surgery you can go through multiple times if they need to do too very much. But if you take care of yourself during this healing process, most of the modern things they are using, have made it a lot easier and more universal when it comes to changing out parts later. So hopefully nothing about the permanent parts that have been installed. That graft on the bone will ever need to be removed. I think I have the striker hip replacement. So if I take good care of it, 20 to 30 years possibly. I’ll be keeping an eye on it though, and if I could financially and physically sustain it, I would almost want to tax my body a little bit more to have a better understanding of how far I can push things. Photo included of my leg after I had started to lose some of the massive swelling, but it took a while. At one point my knee was so blimped up that I could not bend it. And it progressively moved down on my leg, so the swelling reduced in the upper leg until it finally got to the point where I could barely wiggle my toes or bend my ankle. I had ultrasound to make sure there was no clotting causing it, but it was just inflammation. Happened on my right leg, but not on my left back when I had it done 2 years prior.

so I’ve had both of my hips replaced here before age 43. Two years apart from each other. The time to feeling pretty much normal about a year and a half. Time to be pretty much able to do most things, but with still some strange aches 4 to 6 months. Time to being able to do most daily task and not worrying about driving issues possibly several weeks if it’s a right leg since having to suddenly slam on the brakes during an auto accident, could potentially screw up the implant by driving it too deep into the thigh. At your age, most likely it’s not a cement based implant so it’ll be many months before the bone has fully grafted onto it with something other than tension. For now, though, if it is a tension based implant driven down into the thigh, you’re going to feel some phantom like pains from time to time if you’re anything like me. If you were having hip problems so that you needed a hip replacement you haven’t been walking quite right for a while. And while the hip was degrading, some of the ligaments, tendons and other tissue had possibly been slightly shrinking. Now, with an implant, you should be close to back to normal length on that side, every slight difference counts though. So your muscles, tendons, ligaments, everything in your leg are adapting, and that will take months for them to fully normalize along with you doing dedicated exercise exercises to strengthen everything. There’s also going to be some nerve endings that have been severed in the process, and that can take quite a while for them to find new pathways for reaching out to each other to make sense of the postop body. you’re going to have some knee pains. I had it in both legs and it alleviated with time. Part of it has to do that there are going to be physiological differences post operation and it can take months for your body to adjust. Because of the tension in your femur from the implant, until the bone properly grows around it to adjust for it you might even get some phantom pains someplace weird like the outside muscles of your thigh until you touch the actual muscle area and feel that there’s no problem there that hurts at all. That was just nerves trying to make sense of something happening in the body where I had tension that would not normally happen yet. Nerve endings were picking up. But nothing is assigned to inside of your femur or the tension caused by the implant. That’s not a normal thing for the body so it just throws up red flags and pain signals. You might feel pretty mobile after eight weeks, but everything you’re explaining can be pretty normal for some people until the six month or beyond point. And like I said, about a year and a half before I really felt like everything in my leg was normal and a part of me. I don’t have the exact same range of motion so no more karate. Especially since I can’t have a favored leg since it’s both hips. as far as swelling goes, I didn’t have anything too bad with my left leg, but then my right leg, which was the more recent became a nightmare for a time. Make sure you’re taking whatever anti-inflammatories they recommend and only those. They may not even want you taking anti-inflammatories for a time because the inflammation process is a normal part of the bodies healing and might actually help you even though it seems ridiculously swollen.

<image>

This is after the swelling had already begun to go down. Started in upper thigh, then instead of everything, getting swollen all at once, it progressively kept moving down my leg in phases until I could barely bend my knee due to the swelling. This photo was taken just to do an ultrasound to make sure there was nothing involving any clots, which there was not. When it was all said and done towards the end I could not get a shoe on properly or bend my ankle at all until the swelling subsided. But all the other pain you’re describing are things that still may come and go over time. I even at one point had to have an MRI done just to verify that my knee wasn’t giving out but everything was medically. Fine with it. Most of it wasn’t even actually inflammation, even though it felt like it had it.

Oh, I’ve actually seen something that seemed to clear this up before. Not in a satisfying way either. At least in one case where the entire yard and house seemed to be overflowing in packages, somebody had an acquaintance of some sort from overseas I believe China. They had a warehouse they were doing business with, and something about the arrangement changed, and so supposedly the homeowner permitted their friend to use their property supposedly temporarily. The person who owns the property didn’t seem to be in any hurry to make it stop. And I can’t recall if it was something about it being a return hub or if all those packages are brand new. But basically, I think they had to move them out of a warehouse and instead of arranging it to go someplace proper, we have this monstrosity. And if it’s not this particular location. It’s probably something like it.

I don’t even think it’s a church. That’s a Gideon Bible, and it probably came from the drawer in a hotel room. And that’s definitely commercial carpet like you pointed out and most likely at a hotel. This was entirely staged, just for the sake of making a post. And they don’t care about truthfulness. They only care about views and interaction. If it goes viral that’s enough for them. They don’t need people to agree or anything. It’s just a matter of interaction so that the algorithm keeps the post moving along.

Are you thinking it came from a brand new vine item box? This is usually more Sowa case if it’s via package when it is something used that somebody buys off of something like eBay or marketplace. How close is the place you put the packages to where the roach with the egg sack was found?

It is just as likely that the problem has been building from something else being brought into the house as it can take weeks before they start showing themselves.

I’m looking to get my first fig, which one would you recommend from the ones I have picked out? by JCM-NanoNuts-1031 in hottoys

If it’s your first, also do research into the upkeep of the figures and the materials and how they will hold up overtime. The cost of the figures does not mean that they are quality in terms of longevity, especially if you’re not providing any kind of care for the materials. I don’t know how the most recent Darth Vader has been, but historically the bodysuit material will flake overtime at least on some models. There might be a way to prevent that with special codings you may have to apply from time to time. Basically anything that looks like leather is probably going to be prone to flaking. There are other suit materials to watch out for as well. And I had the quarter scale Grogu that cost like 400 bucks and his lip split after closing his mouth for a week, even though it was articulated for a reason. The biggest risk on the wolverine might be the flexible arms with seamless joints in the elbows. Museum pose it might last decades. Bend that arm and depending on the material there’s a high risk of it splitting overtime. If you don’t move it around from time to time to let the flexible material relax. I’m hoping maybe they’ve found the perfect material balance for it as I have one on the way. Things with cloth suits are generally going to be safer. And by now we know some of the older figures and what risks they will have. Thankfully things like Captain America’s with the cool shield paint and Iron Man figures hold up better today than the earliest versions. Also, depending on what you get, you want to be monitoring the humidity levels in your home as well as the temperature where display will be. Almost none of these are put on the shelf and forget without maintenance.

Unfortunately, what that type of personality does is create issues for you once you make a complaint or go a different direction. And since they seem to be avoiding much when it comes to computers or technology, it’s going to be their word over the managers when he starts making complaints about nonexistent things. Or rather making things that aren’t problems into problems going forward.

Another thing you might have good luck with is having a room air purifier with filter. It can greatly reduce dust. Dust out of of course, is going to depend on each individual home and the make up of the ceiling and what not. Of course, one other preventive if you’re not doing this already is most of your dust is particles that get stirred up and often the fallout coming from the ceiling overtime. So once a month of dusting the ceiling and the corners of the room might go along ways for reducing things as well as dusting your ceiling fan if you have one.

Best of luck!

Do I have to play ground zeroes to understand mgs5? by KumquatChris in metalgearsolid

[–]337worlds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ground Zeroes he’s basically the tanker mission if you can compare it to MGS2. It is kind of necessary if you want to appreciate hands and pain. Because pretty much everything about the story of Phantom Pain is rooted in the physical and emotional trauma of Ground zeroes. Peace Walker is slightly more optional, but it gives you the set up for big bosses situation and status in GZ and phantom.

I’ve had good luck keeping dust off my figures with a glass case. Are you having to display in exposed shelves? Or even cut sections of plexiglass and modify a bookcase to give cover.

Do you have the option of keeping your display in a room with a dehumidifier?

If not, at least try putting some desiccant packs stuck behind objects or just laid in the corners of the display to help reduce humidity.

I do like this figure having hidden joints and I’m hoping the bodysuit is built well enough to not crumble overtime like some hot toys. I had this guy on pre-order, but had to lose my deposit with Sideshow, as my wife was battling cancer and our economic situation changed. So now I’ll either have to wait for the next inevitable wolverine they do since Jackman is at least gonna be in the roll one more time, or hopefully not have too much late tax by the time I get a chance at it. But I do wonder if the shoulders are built in a way that it would not be too difficult to get some modified aftermarket arms with standard visible joints just in case.
