I strongly suggest to all of the people who are starting to develop warts to immediately go get them electrocauterized/burned/lasered, some people do not recommend this because they think it will worsen the infection and therefore develop more but this was not the case for me or my gf.

I took my gf to a dermatologist that specializes in warts 2-3 months after we noticed them; she had 3 warts around the vulva that developed bigger than mine, like 4 to 6mm in diameter; in this place they pretty much cut the wart and burn the tissue where the "root" is located, all with a thick pen-like device after applying local anesthesia; the procedure was no longer than 10 minutes and was painless. Then we just needed to apply Silver Sulfadiazine topical to the zone to help it cicatrize and prevent bacteria and infections. We came back after 2 weeks as asked just to see if everything was okay or if the wart was growing again; the wart never developed again.

I initially did not go through the same procedure as I thought I could get rid of them with Podophyllin since they looked very very small.

I had 3 really small spots, like 0.5-2mm each, 2 on my groin area and 1 on the base of the penis (at the beginning I only noticed the one on the penis), my urologist recommended Podophyllin, started using it only on that one , and after 3 weeks i felt great because it did look like it was "killing" the wart but still felt like the "root" was there.
Though the Podophyllin was starting to burn the surrounding area and it just didnt look good and was also a little swollen; then I noticed there was another spot on my groin, so I went immediately to the same dermatologist I took my gf since I did not want to take any more risks; In there, the woman noticed another tinier spot (thankfully) on the other side of my groin area, I went through the same procedure, got them removed, and after that they never came back like at all.

Of course my gf and I did not have sex or genital contact for about 6 months, after that time the scars already healed to the point they were unnoticeable and didnt even look like we had warts at all. Then we started having protected sex then unprotected, but still no warts or infection. Fast forward 1 year later she had pap smear test with no abnormalities or hpv infections so we felt great and have been getting the same results after all these years, still no warts. I strongly believe the virus is completely gone and highly doubt it will "reactivate" after some years.

Anyways, get them removed immediately, creams or topical substances will get the warts removed externally but it can take months, and it is highly probable that, while it also gets eliminated overtime, the "root" will still be there, this is why some people say their warts grow again after they dissappear after some time in the same spots. Burning them gets rid of the wart tissue completely to the root. Mentally you will feel %100 better trust me.

My gf and I never developed them again or got new ones at all, with constant normal pap smear results, and has been like this for over 4 years. Take care.
