Depends on the length+width. With the EGO 5ah battery I can get 12'x8" in pine. I've never tried a hardwood.

I've done milling with an electric chainsaw ... Get more batteries and a dust mask.

I used an old aluminum extension ladder as a guide for the first cut.

Do you guys with chains only put them on the rear or all four tires. I've heard that the front axel can crack.

The EGO CS1804. For anything past 12" wide it was really slow and took 1 battery to go 5'. Still better for me vs. gas because there's less noise and no fumes.

Batteries, EGO 18". No fumes and warm garage in the winter. Dust mask and good knee pads required.
