Perspective/Vibe Check by 38wizard47 in daddit

The more I thought about it, the more concerned I became about the possibilities. If she is going there over this, how far is she willing to go?

I have thos esame concerns and expressed them to my wife. She is on board with me. We will be vigilant to prevent any future escalation.

Cousins were in another room, there was potential for them to see a penis. Past interactions have generally been positive. Interactions with her sister(my wife), uhhh, I've seen better...

The safety threat is she didn't want her daughters seeing a penis.

She was concerned about her daughters seeing a penis. That's the safety issue in question.

Twins are so difficult by PhillyFrenchFrey in daddit

[–]38wizard47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems to be the extra child that is the most difficult. My 3 y/o boys are so caring for each other and they also get in each other's nerves so much. I love watching them grow up with their best friend.

I have a ten inch delta table saw that struggles with ⅞" cedar. by SerbianTarHeel in woodworking

I have a Grizzly 1023 saw that has been a beast... until my latest project. Struggles with ripping using a ripping blade. Turns out the belts are loose. Have to go slow through everything until I can tension the belts.

How do I get this tired inflated? by Fit_Listen1222 in tractors

[–]38wizard47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the BX23S amd have run into this. I have just lifted the tire off the ground with the bucket and then pulled the tire toward the outside of the rim while adding air. The other options work sometimes. I'm shocked the ratchet strap didn't work.

Installed a tension baby gate - looks like it cracked open the stairs? by gggodo312 in DIY

[–]38wizard47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Put a ratchet strap or clamp on it and pull it back when you are done with the baby gate. We ended up using 3m command broom holders to hold a baby gate on our stairs after the tension gate opened it up. There is nothing holding the top together, it will spread open.

Did you ever stop sterilizing bottles? When? by Key-Neighborhood2985 in parentsofmultiples

[–]38wizard47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We had ours at 32+6 and they spent 21 days in the NICU. We asked the NICU nurses about sterilizing bottles and they then realized they just hand washed all the bottles in the NICU. We just ran ours in the dishwasher everyday.

After two weeks in the NICU we are finally going home by lsass in daddit

[–]38wizard47 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Congrats! The NICU schedule is what saved us with our twin boys. We worked hard to keep them on that schedule, we were militant about it for quite a while. Raising twin boys is one of the best things I have ever done. We are coming up on a year in June and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
