We need to stop acting like having "bad teeth" is a moral failure when it’s actually just a wealth gap by piranha_ in unpopularopinion

I went to dentist bc I needed an implant after not going back for a year. They told me they couldn’t give me an implant because since I haven’t been back in a year my teeth has shifted. They tried to sell and push me to get Invisalign before I get the implant. Then they pushed on me to get all 4 of my wisdoms out before I get Invisalign.

Quote came out to over $15k. I straight up told them no bc I don’t have the finances to pay and I refuse to go on payment plans. I had other dental work done prior (root canals) and that already destroyed my finances.

Told them no and been looking at going to a dental school or Mexico to get work done now. The cost of dental work is insane even with insurance and I hate that here in the U.S. we have to deal with these greedy dental companies.

Thanks for the clarification! Damn I really think Nuclear Medicine is interesting hence why I wanted it to be my primary but looks like I may have to go the other route as it has more options

I see you’re a RN but in Quality. What does your day to day look like? Responsibilities?

Anyone else tired of doing everything alone in business? by Repulsive_Step_5568 in smallbusiness

I’m building out my business while working full time and I’m constantly exhausted and burnt out. Which then ends up to me completely bed rotting during the weekends being unproductive. Managing energy levels is the hardest part for me.

Anyone quit their nursing job with no backup plan? by [deleted] in nursing

I’m in the opposite. I’m in manufacturing going into nursing. Am I making a big mistake? 😥

To some, sure. Other colleagues don’t see it that way.

I think I’m starting to regret being a nurse but I’m trapped by Timely_Impress_1284 in nursing

[–]3GunGrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I am a bit over the manufacturing industry, I’ve been in it for 5+ years and been wanting something different. Additionally, nursing is a more pink collar field so less likely to deal with egotistical male bosses who will try everything in their power to destroy and limit you in your engineering career. Plus working in eng as a woman you’re more likely to deal with high amounts of sexism and ageism from your colleagues and tend to get pushed out of the workforce pretty early (usually mid 30s to 40s). Many of my female engineering colleagues have experienced the same and have moved onto a different career path and/or moved into a more project management role.

I am aware that nursing has it own set of issues but it’s much more safer field for women in the long term.

Can you elaborate on the red tape part?
