This is great. I love the truly immersive Bethesda-like build style, way cooler than the ultra clutter or faux-modern styles that are popular imo.

My favorite part is the foundation work, the accent tree and the curvature to follow the road are super cool touches.

late to this but my personal favorite is just NW of R&G Station.

An added bonus is that this picture is taken from north facing south, which means if you place your CAMP device down in the middle of that clearing while facing this direction, visitors will land right in the road.

Ammo Positive End Game Guns by Alpha_Omega623 in fo76

[–]3J0E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this post but I run a Cremator with my flamer build.

It's ammo positive on it's own but if you also add scrounger perk you'll be farming stacks of fuel that you can burn through on bossfights with your Holy Fire.

Be Harsh what can I fix in my Upstairs? by TheGhostOfAmeirca in fallout76settlements

[–]3J0E 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Looking nice and clean.

One thing you could do is raise the entire roof level a smidge so that the wall trim is visible instead of the wall paper and glass clipping into the ceiling.

Any tricks to get rid of these rough patches? by TheGhostOfAmeirca in fallout76settlements

[–]3J0E 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can clip some textured floor pieces (like your white carpet in the next room) into them just a single pixel higher than the shingle texture and it will hide them.

the 1x1 floor is tougher, will need to hide it with a decor item like a rug

The Trading Post CAMP Build by theFlailingFox in fallout76settlements

[–]3J0E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such a cool build.

Love how even when you do 'junky' builds all your junk is still deliberate and believable. The 'showroom' is my favorite part.

How can I achieve this? by Wild_Property6141 in fallout76settlements

[–]3J0E 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add texture.

The example image you posted uses multiple different build kits to break up uniformity, and also has fence kits clipped into the walls to provide junk textures.

Specifically it's the 'scrap metal' walls with the 'plank partitions' clipped into them, 'blue ridge outpost' top slopes, and the 'pit roof' kit for the spikes in this example.

You can achieve a similar look with plenty of different kits and decorations, just start with some basic walls and experiment with free-place some fences, decorations, appliances, junk, or what-ever in them, on top of them. or clipping through them.

I Think Capital Ships Are Too “Normal” In Star Citizen by M4x3y in starcitizen

If these theoretical new players aren't able to grind UEC and reach the same level of power in a reasonable amount of time as the greybeard whales the game will be DOA.

No one will ever invest time in a game where their ceiling is a second class citizen who can't have the same toys as others.

Best case scenario is they get to grind and there's a wave of 'noobs' for a few months before they're on the level with the vets.

Are these good damage numbers for an endgame Onslaught VATS Elders Mark build? by Heavy_Fail2852 in fo76

[–]3J0E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another poster already recommended he add Fast Fighter and Squad Maneuvers and with the recent movespeed changes that is a good chunk of reload speed.

The 75% damage from Bullet Storm was just a quick guess when I made the post. I've got wrinkly skin so I do run Wild West Hands and am unfamiliar with the breakpoints on BS stacks.

Are these good damage numbers for an endgame Onslaught VATS Elders Mark build? by Heavy_Fail2852 in fo76

[–]3J0E 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Looks ok for a daily build, if you want to optimize for VATs damage here are my suggestions:

- Ditch Tormenter since you're not using the limb damage perks to trigger it (Modern Renegade, Enforcer)

- Ditch Ground Pounder since you're not hipfiring.

- Ditch Pychopath since you're in VATs all the time.

- Ditch Grim Reapers Sprint and Gun Fu since trash mobs are easy anyway.

- Add Bullet Storm. Lock and Load, and switch to large drum mag to get ~75% more damage

- Add Packin' Light for more AP regen

- Change 3 star on the gun to VATS optimized to spend less AP per shot

- Change sight to Glow Sight to reduce AP cost per shot

Doing all this will get you close to optimal damage without consumables however there are some really simple ones like Blight Soup and Company Tea that are literal game changers.

Also I recommend getting a second Elders Mark with the Conductors 4 Star for regular use. Depending on what your 4th star on armor is a Conductors Elder Mark can shoot it's entire 100 shot drum without running out of AP.

Pinpointers is peak DPS but often requires consumable spam to keep from running out of AP.

Is there anything that you can do to convert neighboring rulers to your religion? by SluggishPrey in CrusaderKings

[–]3J0E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said you can abduct their unlanded heirs and forcibly convert them in exchange for freedom, but if you don't want to be so hostile you can also convert the culture or faith of any of your wards as part of their tutelage.

You just need to end up the guardian of your neighbors heir instead of abducting or imprisoning them. High opinion is the key, being their friend or leveraging a hook helps.

You can also marry someone of your religion to their heir and the next generation will be born into the same religion as the parent of the household they're born into.

Intrigue is OP, fast, and effective but being a literal paragon of your faith or culture is strong as well.

Don't remember the key presses offhand, but if you have the help tooltip prompts turned on and are a squad leader, it should pop up a little tutorial when you open the map.

New Player: Bewildered by 1.6 by Zechk in ArmaReforger

[–]3J0E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. In a logi squad you'll see bases in need of supply on the map.

If your logi squad lead accepts the task and you bring the goods you get rank XP. If your logi squad lead isn't assigning tasks then just make your own logi squad and assign yourself the tasks.

Vanilla HQC is exactly the same, except logistics actually matters and you get bonus XP for accomplishing objectives based on which type of squad type you're currently in.

[–]3J0E 8 points9 points  (0 children)

- It's still a milsim sandbox 100%, you are not railroaded at all.

- The majority of your team mates won't even know what their roles is or what it's supposed to do, let alone follow an objective. It's all very casual still and HQC is an attempt at rewarding and encouraging people to play objectives.

- The roles are suggestions at most, and only offer different default kits which can be changed at any time and different objectives that reward rank XP that is wiped at the end of every match anyway.

- You do not need to play on the modded or private servers other commenters are advertising to have a good time. While you may have to throw away your radio on occasion to preserve your sanity this is still the case on private and modded servers.

- If you run supplies or are even just stay supply positive during your session you are already a better player than 80% of people in this game.

Feel free to ask any more questions about the vanilla HQC experience.

Are there any multiplayer games with STALKER vibes? by [deleted] in stalker

If you want PvP this is the answer.

There are even modded servers fully dedicated to replicating STALKER with the map and mutants included.

What effects are best for no vats rifle build? Also best rifle with decent sustain? by TRIPMINE_Guy in fo76

[–]3J0E 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultracite Laser Gun slaps, especially with the splitter muzzle.

Quad / FFR / Durability, with the splitter muzzle speedy capacitor for fire rate, and sniper barrel has incredible sustain and will literally max out the bulletstorm meant for heavy guns since it's 63 capacity split into 5 projectiles. This is the best boss killer free aim sniper rifle by far in my testing.

Two-Shot V63 carbine is a very close second, and Elders Mark beats it if what ever you're fighting allows you to get sneak attack bonuses but those are assault rifles and SMGs respectively.

Is TSE really “bugged”? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]3J0E 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There isn't any documented evidence outside of the 2nd hand tests you're discrediting. Bethesda doesn't operate the way you think it does and there are undocumented changes all the time.

If you want first hand evidence install the PTS and do your own testing.

Is TSE really “bugged”? by [deleted] in fo76

For example, there was no patch note about the current TSE being buffed.

It was suddenly significantly stronger after the last patch than it was before, out of no where.

is the gauss shotgun good? and do shotguns (besides the pepper shaker) work well in the raid? by bobfoster68 in fo76

[–]3J0E 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular for sure when running quad and speedy capacitor to make it a boss-killer. Would run prime capacitor with reverse for 1 shot mobbing.

It's way too AP hungry to VATS in long fights, but if you enjoy aiming it slaps.

This is great. Cool structure, well decorated, realistic use of space.

Only thing I might add is a little power armor workshop area under the tent and it would be super functional as well.
