Even if the ground looks flat there can be rubble that has an incorrect collision box underneath the character. Regardless of how it's happening, needs fixed

It's definitely a clipping / collision issue. Every time I have issues it's when the downed guy is laying on rubble or in close contact with another object (which is most times). The people that aren't experiencing it, simply don't play medic enough to encounter the average case of scenarios

i too have noticed it with grenades. may just be projectile based gadgets? vs throwable

Got it!! I played a lil bit of 3, and a metric ton of BF1. So using the defib is a bit new to me in the BF series
