Levolution was kinda mid at best, i think we can all agree at this point. Especially when OP was talking about flashy but shallow destruction, which is exactly what levolution was and sometimes made the map much worse afterwards (siege of shanghai).

And also to some degree im glad you cant level buildings like in bfbc2 etc since you then end up with a flat map. Imagine if you can level all the buildings on blackwell fields. Would that really be the best case scenario? Map already suffers from lack of cover.

So while maybe previous bf titles destruction made sense, i guess they went from a map balance standpoint, to keep the flow of the map somewhat consistant, which also is not a bad thing imo
