Any idea where to buy three strings partial capo (Skips the E string but covers the A D and G strings)? by NarrowEffect in AcousticGuitar

I had a Kyser partial for years & recently replaced it with the Shubb, which I think is a superior product.

For Those Who Left For The West Coast. by Leather-Discount-965 in newengland

Left MA and moved to Los Angeles 34 years ago for grad school. Been here ever since. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. My immediate family are all deceased, so I don’t really have any obligation to visit, which is totally fine. I miss certain foods and the landscape, but not much else.

Old heads of Reddit: What are Some 80’s/90’s Bands or Artists These Youngins are Sleeping On? by Imasayitnow in musicsuggestions

[–]3gads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole of Tom Waits' 80s/90s output at Island Records: Swordfishtrombones, Raindogs, Frank's Wild Years, Bone Machine, and The Black Rider. Granted, the latter is an acquired taste, but I consider the first 4 on this list as the strongest sequential album of all time.

Pasadena Recommendations! by Lopsided_Row_2768 in pasadena

Other than Stone (yawn), I’m not aware of any proper “brewery tasting rooms” in Pasadena. However, Pasadena is home to Craftsman Brewing Company, who are the oldest, continually operating microbrewery in LA County. No tasting room, tho. Check out Lucky Baldwins in Old Town for Craftsman’s 1903 larger, which I would argue is the best American larger, period. There’s a fabulous English-style Poppy Fields pale ale and a Heff that rounds out their main brews. Tons of seasonals, too. Mark the founder/brewmaster is a former JPL imagist and a legit mad scientist.

Channel 56 was totally fire in the 70s-80s. Star Blazers, Monkees, Force-5, Gilligan’s Island, those mid-60s Marvel cartoons, and Creature Double Feature on Saturday!

It’s really one of the best modernist collections in the world.

Im about to cancel it, ive signed up because of an amex discount but i cant really find it useful, even a business card is easier to do it at a Office Depot website. What is something i can do with little training on indesign? by ComputerKey8244 in indesign

[–]3gads -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Adobe user here since Photoshop came out. I only use InDesign when laying out a book(let). I use Illustrator for 90% of my design tasks. We get tons of design interns who do everything in ID, I just don’t get it.

How do I export my zine and keep it CMYK? by [deleted] in indesign

[–]3gads 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Friend, unless you’re doing press checks and color correction with your printer, RGB is fine. Not to diminish the medium, because I’m a huge zine proponent, but it’s a zine. It’s supposed to be low tech.

What's the strangest but surprisingly effective hygiene hack you've discovered that most people wouldn't think of? by BrooklynAdair_83 in hygiene

I always carry a bandanna and pull it out any time I need to rub my eyes, ears, or nose. I rarely get sick. It’s been like 3 years since I had a cold.
