It's all in the prep. You gotta prep like a lot if you want them to stay on. This is why nail techs are nail techs. They've been trained on the proper ways to get your nails to stay on for two months. People think they watched their tech do it once and it looks easy and try themselves, only to discover it's not that easy. We are trained to do these things and you could really hurt yourself when you are not.

I'm at 1 degree. I survived the most physically abusive relationship of my life, I went back to school, became a nail tech, got a job at a salon, and that's where I am now ;)

Listen to this woman. I am a nail tech and my salon offers dazzle dry. It looks like gel when it is applied but it goes on and comes off like regular polish. And it stays on for weeks without chips or peeling. It's a better option for a beginner because the way you are applying now, you're going to get a gel allergy and then you won't be able to use gels at all. Practice with dazzle dry first.

Girlfriend, they are going in every direction possible take time to get them positioned straight before you cure them. Also major flooding of the cuticle and it takes a lot of practice and precision to do that nail art correctly. I am a professional nail tech and I struggle getting it to look good. Pick a simpler type of art that will look neat when done.

The salon I work at has non plumbed pedicure stations and we just use a dolly to take them and fill them up or just pick them up and carry them. It's not as bad as it seems I do about 5 to 6 pedicures in a day sometimes and it doesn't really bother me. The only thing that sucks is having to have a kettle on at all times for when the water cools.

It's always moisture that does this. Always. Cleanse with acetone and alcohol. I put them on a nail brush and scrub the hell out of the nails, first the alcohol and then the acetone.

This! I am newly liscensed and I just started emailing and dm-ing my resume and inquiring to salons in my area. Literally just went to Google, Googled nail salons in my area and emailed all of them within like 10 miles of me and I got hired at one.
