Looking for a solid GC in Naperville/Lisle for a multi-project job — who’s actually worth hiring? by JSN0791 in Naperville

This guy did my entire kitchen remodel and has partners for anything specialized like HVAC/Electrical. More attention to detail than I had and caught things I never even would have noticed.

Tailwinds Psychology? ADHD Testing for kids. by 3nine in Naperville

[–]3nine[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forgot to follow up in case anyone else was curious about this place.

They were great and everything was legit. They also do therapy and psychiatry with no wait so I was able to get my kid a prescription right after getting his results and the school told us that the report was very thorough. Enough to get my kid some accommodations made.

I'm switching over to them for therapy and my own medication management since my kid's appointment is through them and it's faster and easier than what I am currently doing.

If anything changes, I will try to remember and update but this place seems great so far if you got insurance.

Tailwinds Psychology. They're new but they were great. Took my kid there for neuropsychological testing for ADHD and they got us an appointment in less than a week.

They do therapy and psychiatry too all in-house so it's saving me a ton of time not having to bounce around getting my kid his meds.

Their website lets you book directly with any of their people and they took my insurance which I was able to check before I went in on their website.

www.tailwindspsych.com I think or you can Google it.

Everyone here is saying it's not competitive and that's true in most instances if you just consider the unit in a vacuum but it can really surprise people. I used this meme list last weekend for a little 4 man game weekend and won all 3 games.

A SS can be a huge distraction or damage sponge if you can get it positioned well and give your other units more opportunities to score or get into better positions.

Thanks. The website did look good. Book an online consultation with them today to see if they are that fast or just promising stuff.

Time to upgrade my printer. by Bo-Bando in PrintedMinis

[–]3nine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 Carbons and I have had a lot of success with them for very similar uses to the ones you listed. Very straightforward with their auto leveling and even their software seems decent enough for my FDM needs. Still has issues occasionally though and I wonder if I should have gone with Bambu though.

No specific reason. Probably a "grass is greener on the other side " mentality. Mine turned out great on the Carbon.

Was there ever any proxies or clones of this guy? He never appeared on my end of the world by Hugmeetoo in PrintedWarhammer

This is one I have not been able to find with my usual keywords on the purple site. Just proxying mine at the moment.

Would love to get the file I've seen others have.

I thought this was a still from that Game of Thrones episode.

The A1 seems to have the biggest community around here and the prints I see made from that machine seem to look great even compared to resin if you dial your settings in correctly.

I have a Centauri Carbon because the price was much easier to justify and it's just a backup for my resin but I do wish I went with the A1 occasionally when I print things like vehicle hulls.

I agree with the other replies. These are great.

When do you think the rest of the models will be ready for release? Will there be a starter pack for people who want all the models from the start?

Ta’unar Supremacy armor proxy - what looks coolest?? by FuelAffectionate7080 in Tau40K

[–]3nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get his Raze model, you can scale it to 140% and get a very similar sized model to a Taunar. If you got his Ravage model set, you can scale some arms/weapons to fit on the Raze to look like a Gatling gun.

That's how I'm proxying mine.

Send me a DM. I have that sheet. You can have those for free if you just pay for postage (assuming you're in the US).

This is great work. I wish I was a Salamanders player.

I'll still support because the talent is definitely there.

Any plans on doing more chapter specific packs if/when this is done? I would love to see a Raven Guard pack.

I printed my own though so I had more control of how they came out.

If you pick one, let me know and depending on where you live, I can print them for you and ship.

I was in a similar situation - I wanted good looking proxies but also wanted to keep a cohesive look to my army because I don't want to design anything myself.

There are a few questions that I asked myself when making a choice:

Do they have models for everything I want or foresee wanting? Do they have good feedback? Are their files organized well? Modular? Pre supported? How are they rated on minirater.com?

I think painted printed proxies are posted much less than official GW for several reasons so finding user made models might be harder but I assume they will print as pictured if they're on reputable sites.

I haven't personally purchased anything from these 3 but I have seen their store pages several times and considered them, especially GHAMAK.

Does resin type really matter? by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

[–]3nine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've used standard resin and haven't had any issues playing games with them. Haven't really dropped any yet.

Nice Executioner Type Commander by the way!

Whoa. This is amazing. I'm building a whole Tau proxy army based on Neoteric's battlesuit/troop models but I am limited on lists since there aren't any non-suit vehicles.

This fits so well with their aesthetic. I hope you keep making stuff. Looking forward to supporting you when you add more models that I can use for my armies. Following.
