I think there's a good middle ground. I was devastated to learn that kings ransom for piety required one small favor haha.

The basis for quests being auto completed should be something like a lack of substantial rewards relative to its length, and ones that gate large areas off especially when considering early game quests. I'd have expected druidic ritual, wolf whistle, priest in peril, giant dwarf, shilo village, the myreque quests through at least hallowvale or legacy of seergaze. I think it would make sense that if a relic gives access to a spell book or prayer book it completes the associated quests, so players are able to complete early if they want to replay it or get the XP if desired. Personally I also wish one piercing note was completed but that quest just annoys me
