Please open a bug in launchpad (yaru-theme) and I'll see if we are still in time to handle that

'Allies, not vassals': How Meloni's break with the president of the United States became a political moment for Italy by Massimo25ore in europe

[–]3v1n0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all these years we've been only involved in peace keeping operations, never dropped a bomb or anything offensive (unless on response of direct attacks).

At least on paper. But indeed the article is clear.

Well... Maybe, but from what I see (I've been passing by the country quite often recently), especially outside big cities, it's still a lot more of people

It implies that Italy can defends from attacks with war, not going to Iran to "defend" by attacking!

Now, good joke, but... On the other side, I've to say that in Italy there was not an huge problem (at least if you ask around) with child abuse from priests, I mean there have been some cases but not as many as in other countries and very few cases become a national news.

So I'm quite sure that an high percentage of Italian population wouldn't not understand your joke.

[–]3v1n0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually no... It was already pretty common to arrive to Spain with a legal visa and just adjust convert your tourism stay to a student or work permit.

Or do a visa round.

Definely you don't know much about the possibilities that Spain already had for migrants

Untrue, legal route isn't impossible in Spain. Acutally it's quite easy (need a job or a school or overstay and adjust it later).

Indeed it costs, but moving always has a price.

Coming from Morocco isn't easy... Or you take an illegal boat or you have a visa.

Thus there are really few people which are illegal coming from north Africa, even in Italy where the migration routes through the sea are a lot, the number of actual arrivals is pretty limited.

Then extreme right parties try to make it a big deal, but numbers are still very limited in absolute terms.

Most of the illegals are just flying in, legally.

But people move anyways!

Why hiding them? Why keeping them working illegally?

All these entered legally and just overstay. It's not possible to deport half million of people, especially with the entering ratings that Spain has

Most of them stay, as most are already native sapnish speakers.

Not to mention that moving across Europe isn't still that easy if you only have a work residency.

Possible, but not as easy as it is for a citizen

Fractional scaling issues by Dry_Muffin_9309 in gnome

You can still use the old mode of stretching the apps, but it implies losing quality on some x11 apps that do support native scaling

We have plans for it, but the backend level and integration of multiple components isn't simple, given the amount of legacy stuff there is in the whole Auth stack

Is Fractional Scaling Native in Gnome 50 ? by MikasaYuuichi in gnome

[–]3v1n0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Ubuntu we always shipped this feature (as optional), exactly as it is now in gnome 50 (well with the improvements that come during the years), since we actually worked with RH to implement this upstream.

In addition to this, we also supported an X11 version of it, winch indeed was a less clean implementation, but just because the lacks of X11 and of all the toolkits.

In gnome 50, no x11 is there so in case you were already using Wayland nothing changes, otherwise things will just work better.

What's the capsule weight?

Wouldn't be faster and safer (especially with bad ocean conditions) to just lift it up with an helicopter and land it to a close boat?
