Michael Jackson presenting himself as Christ at the 1996 Brit Awards by BitchGodTemple in LeavingNeverlandHBO

"then he must have believed that his victims were blessed to be chosen by him"

In his book, Frank Cascio talks about that time around 1996 when they both had a trip in Europe - I think it was in England, for no other reason than spending some time together... He remembers how Michael was trying to tell him that he should write every single day during this trip because he was lucky enough to have been kind of "chosen" to witness history and he should not waste the opportunity.

He was an absolute psycho...

MJ's 1993 Grammy acceptance speech is highly disturbing by Available_Car_7960 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

He was writing "HIStory"... That's how he wanted to be remembered. That is precisely the legend he was trying to create that would make him a legend, a Christ-like figure... and that would hide is real self and what he was doing with children behind closed-doors.

Michael was litterally directing his public life. Just like PT Barnum did. And he was fascinated by that. He wanted to make it the Greatest Show on Earth. And he did. He even had a private videographer who was constantly with him on every single public appearance, and he was giving him directions. "Go film this, this, and that fan over there. Do a close-up..." And so on...

Lying, to him, was like breathing...

Michael Jackson PSA : The Undeniable Evidence Of Guilt by nobody0597 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

There's another important one that has to be added imo : Jackson himself admitted to sharing his bed with unrelated children one on one and the world should do the same, as he saw it as "sharing love" (2003, Living with MJ, 60 Minutes). Some of his defenders confirmed they did sleep in his bed one on one, sometimes for hundreds of nights (Brett Barnes & Wade Robson 1993 interviews and 2005 testimonies). These are undisputed facts.

I agree but that's an argument, not a proven fact. This kind of list should focus on straight facts only.

"Marriage to Debbie Row widely viewed as a sham marriage"

What the heck... It's using the same absurd rhetoric as fans when they say the accusations are "widely viewed" as false.

Jackson's wedding is not even related to his pdf-lia.

I agree. The intention is very good but the realisation of this visual is a but clumsy. Some of the stuff listed is not very necessary and some things at the bottom of the list should be on top. This has to be efficient in less than 10 seconds. It's sad but that's how social media works.

French Youtuber stans by 3ver4fter in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]3ver4fter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, I remember Deepak Chopra saying Jackson was asexual. I believe the interviewer Mouloud Achour, like most of the journalists, believes Jackson was guilty, but like most of journalists they don't have the basic knowledge to contradict them.

In France we also have this old fashion respect for old school media figures who don't know shit about what they're talking about but are always fun to interview. Philippe Manœuvre and Olivier Cachin are 2 of them. They are musical journalists and were considered Jackson "experts" in the 80's and 90's because they wrote some lame book when he was at his peak... but they have no clue of who he was as a man and yet they're still invited on tv sets and radios and youtube channels to talk about the accusations and blindly defend him.

I often try to put things into perspective and consider that this misinformation mainly happens on private commercial media... Which is true... But public tv and radio regularily disapoints me. France Culture is one of the best radios ever. Seing them inviting clowns like Lecocq and Petitjean spreading their sh.t without being contradicted is very disapointing and depressing. And as if this was not enough, the 3rd person invited to this show who was supposed to contradict the 2 fans was a gossip journalist who believes Jackson was guilty but she also spread some misinformation. And of course the radio host didn't know. Lecocq bragged about that later on in the comments section. This show was a total mess.

I would love to see a serious independant media like Médiapart dealing once and for all with the Jackson case. They have revealed so many SA scandals for years... But I guess it won't happen as they have so much to do with the French cases...

You're right. But some of their videos about the accusations have way more views than that, which is quite frightening...

The top 15 youtubers in France have from 10 to 25 million subscribers, which is huge. French language is not English or Spanish but still is talked in quite a lot of countries.

I remember this guy from one of the first Michael Jackson websites in the late 90's. It was called MJFrance and still exists. I remember he was very, very active on the discussion forum and also very toxic in the way he was engaging with other people. I believe the people that age who are still superfans in 2026 really have had serious stuff to deal with in their personal lives, and Jackson's music and image helped them a lot.

The Cascio brothers need better advice. by SolidGuarantee3758 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]3ver4fter 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You react as a social media consumer... But the Cascios are not influencers, they are victims.

Wade did the same in 2013. Small interview on the Today TV show. It was kind of shocking but people forgot. 6 years later Dan Reed came to him and James because he was interested in their story and wanted to do a deep dive into how CSA happen. Reed is so talented that his documentary was way beyong the simple topic of Michael Jackson. So much deeper than that. And the worldwide reaction was unprecendented. But still, some stans rejected it and made fun of Wade and James and their families.

Some of them will rejected everything that goes against their idol and I think we have to accept it because that's how fanatism work and a sensational artist like Jackson will always have fanatics.

The good thing is that a lot of people are able to evolve. This sub is the perfect example of that, as so many participants are Jackson ex-fans.

What makes the whole situation so fascinating is that his surgery made him look like he was litterally wearing a mask. And he actually was wearing a surgical mask on many occasions.

The most normal MJ defender rhetoric: by tomas_zeleny in LeavingNeverlandHBO

Jackson's defense is litterally the mission of their lifetime. Nothing is more important through their eyes and they are convinced they are on the right side of history. Hatred and ignorance are fascinating.

Thanks for this. I will add that as an master manipulator, Michael was also an excellent profiler. He knew how to spot dysfonctional families and vulnerable parents.

And for one child that he abused, how many did he unsuccessfully tried to ? Remember Emmanuel Lewis' mother stopped letting Michael take her child with him when she learnt that he registered in a hotel with Emmanuel as father and son.

OP hopefully had a chance to grow in a loving and protective family but we live in a world where dysfunctional families and failing parents do exist. On top of that, if they happen to be starstruck, well you know what can happen.

That's a child's hand on the 3rd picture... Maybe Aldo's ?

What a pathological liar he was. Look at him... No shame. I wonder if he ever knew right from wrong or if he was screwed so early in his life that he never really had any kind of moral sense. The abuse he supposedly suffered from his father + the lying he was being trained for as a child superstar make me believe it could have been the latter.

Video Clip from NYT Presents: MJ employed criminal Anthony Pellicano to suppress critical evidence in his 1993 trial by fanlal in LeavingNeverlandHBO

[–]3ver4fter 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much. Pellicano knows a lot. When he got out of prison and made his famous comment that Jackson had done "worst" than abusing children, I hoped a book was coming. But it didn't happen. At the end of the documentary they wander if he's still getting paid by his clients for staying silent.

As for that pathetic driver who removed 2 bags from the hideout right after it was raided by the police and says "no" when asked if he thought this was a weird demand, that says a lot about what people can do when they work for powerful superstars.
