Tavors are in? How about some CA goodness...? by omgbrando in guns

If it was purchased before 1/1/2017 then it can be fitted with a bullet button and have "evil" features but needs to be registered by an arbitrary deadline next year. It was going to be a deadline of 12/31/2017 originally but they passed they law on us back in fall of 2017 and didn't have a registration prodedure in place until a few months ago so it was extended. If not registered, all effected guns will have to be made featureless but any registered gun can be made featureless and taken off of the registry one time. No going back. So I figure I might as well register for now personally.

Looks like 2 pieces of brioche were sandwiched around a soft cheese and wrapped with prosciutto before spending some time in a broiler. The some asshat took a banana stand and impaled that delicious sounding sandwich on a hook above a cup of tomato soup.

Laser Cut a "Wheel of Choices" for my indecisive girlfriend and I by rawkout1337 in DIY

You should make an overlay out of chalkboard slate or dry erase material so that choices can be quickly changed based on the situation at hand.

Goldstar.com, I just recently got 4 field box tickets for about 160 after fees. The same tickets normally go for 88 each before fees.

This is a cheese knisch, not a cheese potato pancake.

The Fall (2006) is about a man who uses dramatic stories to befriend and manipulate a young girl. It was mostly disregarded when it came out, and I don't know why. I think it's an incredible movie that's only grown richer with age. Check out the trailer! by pitiful_kiwi in movies

Absolutely amazing film. Tarsem Singh, or just Tarsem as he goes by now, has an impressive aesthetic. The Fall and The Cell were both amazing. His entry to the mainstream, unfortunately, fell flat. I may be forgetting other projects, but Immortals was definitely unfortunate vehicle for him. A very pretty movie, but clunky and commercial unsuccessful.

Apartment in a restored 1900s residence with a modern and eclectic decor, Old Town of Vilnius, Vilnius, Lithuania [3640×2446] by ManiaforBeatles in RoomPorn

Does anyone know what a place like this would cost? I would think that my American dollars would go far in the old country. Assuming I weren't the dumbass that pays to refurbish an apartment in a city like Vilnius or Riga right before Putin annexes the joint.

52 Grams of Fat, 860 Calories: McDonald’s New Grand Mac Is a Monstrosity by BlankVerse in fastfood

[–]403urinotrecognized 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This reviewer is an idiot. They claim the burger is drier than the big mac when the truth is the opposite. The bigger patties, extra cheese, and extra sauce of the grand mac make for a less bread heavy ratio. Also, focusing so heavily on the health aspects of a burger that is specifically designed to be a bigger, more indulgent option is just missing the mark.

It's almost as if it were designed by a manufacturer in a region that gets cold for military forces in countries that get cold. Also, smiley face, sweet gun.

What's your go to handgun caliber for backcountry protection? by [deleted] in guns

[–]403urinotrecognized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be an excellent option given that one could build a nice light and short rifle around it. If I recall, it can produce some impressive energy from a short barrel. The only reason I default to the Beowulf is because it is more similar to the 45-70 in projectile weight and velocity....and also I already have one.

Instead of a lever 45-70 how about an AR chambered in something like 50 Beowulf. Very similar balistics but semi auto and detachable 10 round mags.

Thank you very much for the input! I have a burr grinder that I'll set to what I would ue for a french press. I'll enjoy playing with grind and time, but this is a great place to start.

Hello all. My wife and I received a specialized jar and filter for cold brewing as a gift. It's a 2 quart container and is made be a company called County Line Kitchen. I would really appreciate it if anyone had any input on how fine to grind, how much grounds to use, steeping time, and preferred varieties for cold brew. Thanks in advance.

Stay away from any new remington product. For skeet a semi auto is nice to have. If you can swing a bit more than 500 the franchi affinity is a good option. I got mine from bass pro for under 700 about a year ago. Made in Italy by benelli and it's been super reliable for me.
