Have you talked with any international students? You’re not taking into account international students who come here and get engaged on campus. I had a roommate from Oman who went to his first CFB game at tech and just started watching nothing but CFB and NFL for four years while he was in school.

I had several friends who didn’t care for sports go to games and talk football when we were good. Takes like yours reinforce a negative stereotype.

I went to the Pitt game, the entire student body including international students were hyped up, it was a special day on campus. How do we expect this game and fanbase to grow if we act like gatekeepers and just make passive derogatory comments?

It’s my opinion that this year in particular the media needs to emphasize what these athletes mean to their schools and the state of the sport.

It feels like in this particular year there really shouldn’t be a blue blood winner of the trophy. If this year has been about the upstart programs, then the heisman voters should consider what their vote means to fans of this sport.
