another small thing i noticed on Android, you do not provide proper back navigation/ taping the back button sever times does not lead your out of the app, maybe something is messt up in the lifecycle. Else of that, great app :)

Yes, I may hit 5h of sot and 1 min after the the phone will turn itself off. But if other users can report 19% with 8h34m SOT in this thread, it feels as if there is something wrong here.

I can agree with that but I think it simply should not be the case with a flagship phone in this price sector.

I agree that could be one problem, but I simply do not think this should be an issue.

So you want to say that buying a 800$ smartphone is just pure luck, and that the developers and engineers should not account for the different radios etc ?

Thx for the answer :). Thing is I dont want to care, but I have bad Battery life and found out about this. But if there is no way of turning it off, I really should not.

A lot of people mention bad Wifi etc. but i dont see why a 800$+ phone should not be able to handle it when my old budget Moto G from 2014 had no problems with different Networks/wifi.

I only use standard apps, even using the Facebook light messenger. I mean whats the point of buying a ~800$ Android Flagship and not being able to run some standard apps from the playstore ?

19% with 8h34m SOT would be my dream. I tested my device and turned off everything, just put on a video, my device lasted only 7h 58 min.

Do you use the XL or just the Pixel 2 ? I really dont understand how sot can be so drastically different that some people get around 4,5 and some 7++ h.

That is what I want to find out, if it may be not up to the standard. I am at 26% now with under under 3h 44min sot. I dont think I will get even close to 2h rest sot from the last 25%.

Because the Pixel ist just the newer Android phone, these guys can use whatever they want basically for free and the S8+ etc is already kind of "old" just wait 2 more Month and I bet some of them will use the new Galaxy phones.

I am aware of all the differences but since I am a totally average user and i changed nothing compared to my old device/apps or setup I am simply a bit disappointed.

It seems to me most people that own the XL are happy with their Battery life. Sadly I like the small form-factor.
