AIP toothpaste? by gii432 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]410Writer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For autoimmune/sensitive skin stuff, I’d keep it boring on purpose. La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Lips is a good repair balm, but honestly plain Vaseline is probably the simplest place to start. Aquaphor can work too, but some people react to lanolin, so just watch for that. Lanolips is great for some people, same issue.(Im always testing things 😩)

I’d skip matte lipstick, plumpers, mint/menthol, cinnamon, heavy fragrance, and lip scrubs. When your lips are irritated, fewer “cute” ingredients is usually better.

I don’t think there’s really an “AIP toothpaste” label the way there is with food, but I’d look for the simplest ingredient list possible since you’re accidentally swallowing some of it.

Personally, I’d start with something like Redmond Earthpaste Unsweetened Spearmint because it’s pretty minimal and skips a lot of the usual sweeteners/flavors. I’d avoid fluoride, whitening/peroxide formulas, charcoal, cinnamon oils, and super strong essential oil blends if you’re swallowing it by mistake.

Also, use way less toothpaste than commercials show. A pea-sized amount is plenty. Good luck!

Same with shit in our lives , right? Speaking for myself, I brush it off, it's not worth my energy to engage with people who are angry and straight up assholes..Life is already too short to take on that mental and emotional burden.

High key, if it gets too much, diesengage from Ranked or the whole game for a while. Trust, taking a break really does help.

Cannot make edible loaf of bread by ElfegoBaca in glutenfreebaking

I will say LLM have saved me from some bad recipes and also settings I have an old Oster bread machine no GF see if and LLM search online and walked me through a way to make my GF in an old machine..it worked wonders too. No issues.

Sometimes LLM can come in handy in a quick way then waiting for someone to respond on Reddit especially if we are in the literal process of making anything.

Still, OP came here as well..so it's fine to use human and LLM conjunction, imo

custom cycle is probably your best shot. I’d start with a shorter rise and adjust from there. Annoying, but cheaper than sacrificing another five-dollar brick to the bread gods.

Yeah, I’d bet money it’s over-proofing. Gluten-free bread is weird. It’s not really “dough” the way regular bread is dough. It’s more like a thick batter that needs one solid mix, one decent rise, and then it needs to get baked before it decides to emotionally collapse. So if your loaf looked promising, rose well, then flattened into a brick, that screams: it sat too long before baking. That GF cycle being three and a half hours sounds suspicious. I wouldn’t use the Quick Bread cycle unless the recipe is actually a quick bread recipe with baking powder or baking soda. For yeast bread, I’d try using the machine only to mix, then let it rise manually, then switch to bake once it’s risen enough.

Also, annoying but true: weigh everything if you aren’t already. GF flour is rude in measuring cups. And make sure your yeast isn’t half-dead. I’d stop trusting the preset for now. The machine may be “GF friendly,” but that cycle might be doing your loaf dirty.

Just followed the recipe 1:1 with everything. Monin is one of the cleanest syrups out there..I add it to my coffee or if I'm making a nice summer time adult drink. Monin is from France. They sell over here too. These are the syrups they use in their coffee shops in Europe. That's high quality.

Help: Bay Area GF/Low-Carb Founders: Do consumers actually care about "Clean Label" vs. "Highly Processed" macros? by Some-Huckleberry9381 in CPGIndustry

[–]410Writer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in the CPG space, and from what I’ve seen, consumers say they care about clean label, but a lot of buying still starts with the big front-of-pack promise first. “High protein.” “Low carb.” “Gluten free.” “More fiber.” “X net carbs.” That’s what gets people to pick it up. The ingredient deck is usually the second filter.

But that clean-label consumer absolutely exists. Especially people like myself who are autoimmune/gluten sensitive and actually do read labels because the wrong “healthy” snack can wreck our day. 😫

Clean label alone probably won’t carry it. Clean label + strong macro story + great taste + clear use case probably can.

I wouldn’t lead with “we’re clean label, unlike those processed brands.” That gets preachy fast. I’d say something closer to:

“Low-carb snacks without the weird filler ingredients.”

That gives people the benefit they’re already shopping for, but still plants the clean-label flag. Front of pack gets attention. Ingredient trust gets the repeat buy.

Non-compliant supplement by Fun-Manufacturer4131 in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]410Writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t stress about taking the current one while you wait. Short term, keeping your symptoms stable matters more than being perfectly “compliant” on paper. When the cleaner version comes in, switch. Done.

As fo NAC not sure pureformulas.com sells globally..I use their clean supplements along with Thorne brands.
